So I usually use two colors for my shading, but I've decided to just stick to one bold color. That way it's just: base color, shadows, and highlights. Trying to not make things any more complicated lol. Coming up with designs for this "cut-out background" style is kind of interesting. This one kind of reminds me of legos, or those cut-away houses for dolls.Related content

This looks really good, I like it because it remind me about my Family when where at GaldhΓΈpiggen in Norway. The cozy felling. I like the detail about the Stairs for Angel on the chimney side (If i'm not wrong). The detail you put into Fluttershy is also really good. But I which you could have put Angel in this piece if art to :/
The floor look a bit odd tho. The transaction between the clean wood and the Green painted one isn't really that appealing. The Fire sparks look a bit weird to.
But overall, this is a nice peace of art and you deserve this rating: 4,375

Yeah, decided to add a little more contrast and darkened the shading a tad. To help accentuate the lighting.

Loving this piece of work the cut away style is wonderful, it feels like what's there needs to be there. The bold shadowing works well with the cut away theme/design in this piece.
My fav part of it is her facial expression she looks content, happy and warm.
The only thing i would change / add would be a critter like Angel or something but love this effort and cannot wait to see AppleJack ^_^

Your presentation in the last 3 pieces is really outstanding. It must be a lot of work to add so much to a background! You make me want to try harder!! OH and wow, if you are finishing these as fast as you are posting them, then you must have a really good work flow!

Thank you! I pretty much am posting these as I finish them. I did the last two on livestream so I have recordings on the exact time. Pinkie ice skating took about 5.5 hours, and this one was almost 9 hours (over two days). Trying to push myself to get better and faster at backgrounds
