She slumped to the ground, unable to even clutch the turquoise hair tie that had been given to her....covered in blood.His blood.
Their blood.
"HOW COULD YOU?!" She screamed as he left the room. "YOU WERE RIGHT THERE!! HOW COULD YOU LET HIM DIE?! SHIPPO! SHIPPO~!"
Right outside the doorway, hidden by the wall, Hiei covered his mouth, preventing a sob that wanted to force it's way out. How could SHE? How could she think that he didn't TRY?
Shippo was his child just as much as he was her's. A tear trailed down, mixing with the blood already spilling down his cheek.
With a soft clink a blood red Hiroseki stone landed.

Oh, so sad! People do tend to blame other people in their grief. Of course, it's not something I would typically expect from Kagome, but it's perfectly understandable. This would make for a very angsty fic. Poor Kagome looks so broken in this.
