I see a clever solution to the problem of making the black beaded part continuous

...and for people like me who're clumsy when putting these things on Simply gorgeous!

thanks. I'm going to see if I can borrow it back and take a better photo of it.

Beautiful! I wish I could have it.

Though I don't think I'd be able to wear it. You say it's a choker? Meaning it's probably 14 inches or so? My neck is 16 and 3 quarters inches at the thinnest point near the top just under my jaw.

It's a weird birth defect.

Yeh, just under 14" long. Not all of mine are chokers but I like that black always looks so good as a choker that that's what I always seem to tend to do with that color. My more colorful ones are usually much longer, averaging about 16" to 17 1/2" long.

oops, that is a bad photo, gawd that's embarrassing. Since then I've tried to improve my photos, but I don't have this necklace anymore so I won't be able to replace that photo.

Good to hear that someone else knows what it's like to create something but knows the problems getting an accurate image of it.

Ooh, now that's a spectacular piece of jewelry! I really do enjoy the subtle asymmetry of it. Bet it would look amazing in a little Florida sunshine....

why, thank you . You know, I just might someday send you a little gift, but as for this necklace, I'm thinking of taking it apart and recycling it. Btw, did you ever make it up to WA?

Sadly no, we had to postpone the trip due to a loss in a friend's family. Fortunately, we didn't have to cancel completely. After everything I've heard from yourself and others, it's a trip I'm eagerly awaiting.

I have a bunch of rough aquamarines and would love to do something with them, but I don't know how brittle that stone is and how it would take to drilling, but I think they'd look smashing with a large pearl as the focal point. Thanks for looking!

yoboseiyo In reply to Kitten-of-Woe [2007-11-15 22:51:47 +0000 UTC]

ooooo, yeah they would....

have you thought of just wrapping them in wire, without drilling them? it would save wondering if they're going to break whilst drilling...

that would work, but it's not as secure, and my worst fear is an unhappy customer thinking I don't know what I'm doing

I really like the intricacy of composition combined with the relative simplicity of the color scheme. Beautiful!

thankyou, very nice of you to say . Black and white is all it could be so it wouldn't clash with the "busy" design. I love rough aquamarines and perfectly shaped pearls and these seemed suitable enough for Aphrodite. Thanks again!
