Wow this took way too long. I’m exhausted (mostly because of external reasons) but I’m proud of how it turned out!

Jen is the main character of my comic. She is a teenage thief along with her gang working for a man called Mr Mauldry. You’ll find out more about them, but I’ll give a brief overview of their personalities and what they do.

Jim - The negotiator. 15 y/o. He lies with a forked tongue and can sway people easily. He’s a chill guy who likes to goof around but if you know his antics it can be hard to trust him - particularly someone aloof like Jen. She doesn’t really get along well with him, but Jim has a crush on her. He’s also the ‘newcomer’ of the group so to speak.

Jen - The leader and the planner. 14. She’s a smart cookie like Ida, but she prefers using it for practical work in ‘the field’ instead of burying herself in projects and books. She likes to get her hands dirty. She’s a risk taker but she’s not stupid, and she doesn’t trust people easily. Paul is practically her little brother and she’s fiercely protective of him. Unfortunately that won’t end well for Paul…. X( oops, I said too much! Anyway, raised in an orphanage together (which, in Gane, the city they live in, means basically a sweatshop) she protected Paul and made sure the other more ferocious kids or the master and mistress of the house didn’t pick on him. She is the human embodiment of a pissed off jack russel terrier.

Little Paul - The pipsqueak. 7. For any cheesy horror film fans out there who might be thinking ‘hey, that’s a character from The Icecream Man!’ yes, I know, I took the name from that movie. Little Paul is a bit of an underdog and wants to be tough and cool like his older ‘sister’. He’s not taken seriously because of his size and age, and that frustrates him. Like Jen, he prefers to get on with things and doesn’t like theatrics, and has a tendency to wander off and try to do things himself. He’s a bit like Powder from arcane. He wants to get involved with the others but he’s obviously like. A primary school kid. So he can’t lol. Wait for middle school buddy then Gane’s already shitty child protection laws won’t affect you and you’re basically a legal adult

Ida - The engineer/tinkerer. I haven’t decided which suits her more. 16. Best friends with August. Sharp as a knife, but also an awkward softie who doesn’t know how to function in social situations (or around cute girls). She loves recycling old machinery and turning it into something new, engineering has been her talent and passion ever since she was a baby. Ida ran away at a young age because she felt suffocated and stifled by her family’s expectations of her (being prestigious members of an Engineer’s Guild). She prefers the company of the whirring and clanking metal amalgamations she makes and her books instead of people. She builds gadgets to help the gang. Has a tendency to ramble - she’s an eccentric scientist in the body of a teenage girl :-]

August - The muscle. 17. Very close friends with Ida. Despite his threatening title, he’s actually a massive sweetheart with a heart of gold. While he isn’t particularly smart per se, he’s wise. He has a strong sense of justice and empathy and wants the best for people. He has daddy issues. Do not fool yourself with his gentle nature, if you harm his friends he will drop kick you like a football.

GASP finally I’m done. You can take a breather now xD. That’s my little biographies for them for now, you’ll find out more about their personalities backstories and role in the comic in the future.
