I felt like I already recognized the voice though I never heard it before, and I flinched before turning my head to meet the dragon and his gang of eager friends much to my embarrassment.
There was no mistaking it, it had to be him. Tall, gray, gruff, silky brushed fur, and golden piercings in his ears and lips alongside a mean looking black coat.. And a gang of "fancily" dressed normies for friends to top that off.
It felt like "school bully" was written on his face, and the evil in his narrow piercing yellow eyes told me I was definitely right.
On the sidewalks of the school grounds behind the torturous brown building, encounters like these could and would be bound to happen, I knew that. But my heart beat quickened and my breath faltered pat

favorite animal: homo-sapiens of course! Call her weird, but humans are totally her favourite animals. Have you ever even taken a second to look at them? As a dedicated biology student, humans amaze her. They're so adaptive. Can you believe that despite the little fur they have (some more than others), they still survive the winter? How? They harvest fur from the animals that have a lot and WEAR it! How smart is that!? And all of them are so different! Their sizes and heights. Ah the combinations of traits! Some of them have blue, green, hazel, or brown eyes... but what of the mutated ones with red or purple eyes? Or heterochromia!? Sure beans do these things too but clearly they adopted it from their humans. The most baffling thing to her, however, is their ability to have identical sets of children, and more than two at a time. Beans can't have identical children, so how do humans manage to do it? Not to mention they breed throughout their lives and have so many children. Sims herself can't imagine or dream of having more than five kids. Humans are odd little things. Pink, brown, furless... plus they choose to walk on two legs even though their young walk on all fours. It's just baffling. Not to mention their behaviors. Don't get Sims started on that. She's a big science geek and nothing geeks her out more than humans, honestly.

Artemis has always been a friend to all animals, show her a fuzzy in need and she would quickly offer any help she could. Her home was always bustling with foster critters waiting for their new forever homes while getting much needed loving and socialization along the way. So it might come as a surprise to some that her favorite animal wasn't so much an animal at all but instead an insect. Her close friends knew better though as she always had something on that had her number one insect on it. Basil is a soft soul, and his favourite animal certainly matches this. His favourite animal is the delicate Leafy Sea Dragon. After Basil lost his parents, he became very quiet and reclusive. He didn't really talk to any of the kids or even adults at the orphanage. He would simply paint and draw, usually all over notebooks, but sometimes on the walls. He didn't usually get told off; the staff didn't want to make things worse, and it's a good job they hadn't stopped him. A local philanthropist, Beuregard La Tremoille, or just Bog, wanted to adopt a child. Just so happened he too was an artist, and he wanted to adopt Basil. To try to get to know the reclusive child, he decided to take him to an aquarium. At first, Basil didn't want to interact, but when Bog sat him down in front of a huge tank, and started telling him random facts about some of the fish in the tank. Basil found himself open

favorite animal: Snow Leopard - Diana was born in Russia, and though snow leopards are extremely endangered, there happened to be a couple that lived around her home. She'd often follow their tracks just to watch the beautiful creatures for hours on end. Her mother often told her she was even saved by one of them as a toddler. The story was that she fell into the river one day while playing by the edge, they had thought she was gone for good after she had been washed away by the strong currants..however days later she was found near the den of one with nothing around but fresh snow leopard tracks. Diana was always fascinated by that story and has always wondered if she has possibly seen that snow leopard since, or even how the interaction would go, would they remember her? Ever since she was old enough to remember her mothers stories she has always been fascinated by these beautiful and rare creatures. Some day she hopes to get close enough to maybe even touch one since she obviously can't remember the feeling though she has always been told they're incredibly soft, but for now she just watches from afar and learns all she can about them from observing them. She even plans to help preserve their species when she gets older because the last thing she wants is for them to disappear, she'd rather help the rest of the world get to enjoy their beauty. When it comes to Diana and snow leopards there is just something special about the bond they share.

There's something about this odd egg-laying mammal that fascinates Llowen. Whether it be the venomous spikes on the hind feet or the beaver tail and duck bill. She carries around a plush platypus and has ever since she was a kid. She keeps it snug in her pouch until it's time for bed in which case she brings it out to snuggle up with. She loves the way the skin folds over their eyes and ears to protect them from the entrance of water, and the way the nostrils close up when swimming. It's all fascinating to her, the adaptations of this animal. What she really adores is the way they swim, so graceful; it almost makes up for their awkwardly proportioned and weird looking bodies. Not only does she find the platypus cool in general, but the way they work as well. Everything about them is enchanting to Llowen from their looks to their ability to use electric signals to find their prey. She works hard studying these animals in captivity, and longs to go to the outback to find and see them in the wild.

Why: Liling lives up in the mountains in a small village in China. So it's very normal to come across the now endangered Red Pandas. Even though they aren't social animals, Liling has still befriended them with much effort. Everyday life has so much fun in it now. She loves to pet their soft fur and listen to their squeaky and chattering voice. They tend to be very mischievous just like Liling! Many times they lead each other into trouble! It's a game to the playful Red Pandas. The villagers think of it as a nuisance. But what should they care? Liling has a special treehouse that they love to go in. Sometimes they will cuddle together and fall asleep. Dusk to dawn is their schedule, so now it's Lilings. They are now her big family. It's always a silly day. Liling knows that this is her place in the big world. As humans threaten their existence, Liling has tried her absolute best to keep the village and the mountain safe for the Red Pandas.

favourite animal: Strangely enough, Ora's most fond of the humble mongrel dog. Having lived surrounded by exotic animals as a kid, they were use to seeing creatures very specialised to certain aspects of living. Though after moving away from their parents remote animal sanctuary and into the rough city, they were amazed to see how cunning and resourceful the average stray can be. After they get out of university they'd love to rescue the female that likes to follow them to the coffee shop each Saturday as then they'd maybe able to share a home as well as just a cheese scone.

If you want to know a solution to a problem, watch the snow monkeys’ squabble and sneakily steal what they want, who knows, you might just get ideas. Kit will hunch down in the weather, and witness the shenanigans as a soup opera enfolds around him. Cheating, bathing, fighting, snuggles, raw emotions, nature and nurture. The Macaques have it all.
Tourists go by, aweing and ahhing at the little money’s soaking in the hot springs, yes they know what comfort is and aren’t stupid to do things that make them feel good. But stick around a little longer and you’ll discover a species of critter that are as complex as people.

favorite animal; raini loves toads! she thinks there's something insanely adorable about the little guys: their huge mouths, their tongues, everything. while others may find their warts ugly, she think they're endearing. raini's love for the little amphibians started when she was pretty young. she'd bounce around her backyard, peeking around in her mother's garden to try and spot any little creatures. she'd never leave a stone downturned, if it meant missing out on checking out something cool. every now and then she'd find salamanders, frogs, and little toads. they were always her favorite. she'd pick them up, making sure not to hurt them, and put them in a little red bucket she had. eventually, she'd let them go; but not before watching it hop around for a while. she kind of sees herself in them, too. she's also lazy and loves water. (plus, she has a big mouth on her.) while it's childish and silly, she just... really loves toads. they're her favorite.

Ever since Alaska was young, she has had a tendency to get herself into all sorts of troublesome situations. It's not as though she tries to... she just has no sense of danger. So of course, being a troublesome child with no sense of danger would make it difficult to understand the harmful capabilities of snakes. Yes. Snakes. The first time Alaska saw a snake she became absolutely fascinated with, plainly, just how cool they were. (This particular situation ended with her mother screaming with Alaska questioning why her "new pet" had been chased out of the house.) After some time she somehow convinced her mother to buy her a snake of her very own, which she loved dearly and took excellent care of. From then on her love of snakes only grew. Alaska adopted many more and all the while she never ceased to be amazed by the new things she found out about their different shapes, abilities, and personalities. "Not only are they a fascinating creature," she says, "but frankly, carrying a snake around makes you look like a badass."
