Jared comes off as a complete asshole and enjoys influencing Thomas mental state, which is much easier for him to do since he know everything about Thomas. Jared is vary childish and very immature when he doesn't get what he wants he will actually pick with Thomas and would even pick fights with him until Thomas give him what he want. which usually means hugging him,feeding him,or letting him have his way. Thomas summon Jared when he was 12 years old and when he did summon, him Jared never really told Thomas the contract information and Thomas was to young to know so he didn't ask but that's the reason why Jared basically does whatever he want to influence Thomas mental state not to mention a lot of other physical stuff that he enjoys doing to the poor cat.

Jared is unpredictable and would usually have weird mood swings, one minute hes laughing and talking to Thomas and the next minute hes fucking up Thomas's mental state. Jared is extremely manipulative when it come to Thomas even though Thomas do try his best to have fun and smile even know hes being broken up little by little, Jared would take advantage of the situation and will try to get Thomas to commit suicide just to get his soul or just to get a good laugh. Jared actually enjoys Thomas little hobby of killing people and even takes parts in it telling Thomas that he did the right thing by killing people. (inky doesn't kill little kids, just teenagers and grown ups but when Jared gets in it he just goes crazy and kill who ever is in the way, inky kills at night) Jared would make sure that Thomas doesn't take his medication because he like it when Thomas is on the border of going mad and being sane, it's easy to manipulate him

The relationship between Thomas and Jared is very weird because it can be positive and then turn negative really fast.
because Jared can't stop himself from messing with Thomas's mental state and would make Thomas sad and cry's before usually making him hurt himself. even know Jared does all this shit to him, Thomas does like Jared and enjoy his company and loves having him around sometimes.
