Do you think a normal post back earring would work if I try to make my own?

it's regular earring metal. not sure what it is. they are actually really light. no pressure to the ears at all

I have a pair of my own, but they are longer than these. The problem I have is that the metal bit won't hold the two pieces together. Since I can't take the metal bit out and put in longer ones to hold the pieces together (and I want to try and fix these because they are special), is there anything I can do to fix them?

erm it's a bit hard to explain in text. but it has to do with how the person made the inside. it would be easiest if u can pry the back piece out. the clasp may have come loose because you were toggling the post part too much in there
