Description
As the title suggests, this picture is part of a series of simplistic projects dedicated to the events in history that I put my time and energy into studying the most. The second one in this series is dedicated to all the men, both Union and Confederate, who fought and died at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1,2 & 3, 1863. Gettysburg is the one event in history that I study more than any other. The picture itself is the silhouette of the Friend to Friend Memorial in the Gettysburg National Military Cemetery at sunset, depicting Union Captain Henry Bingham tending to the mortally wounded Confederate General Lewis Armistead. This particular memorial is also my favorite one in Gettysburg.
