Description sorry, just a photograph as i never work digitally

a while back i saw a painting similar to this that really inspired me, it was just of a young girl by a fire. for some reason it instantly made me think of an old friend of mine, so i did something similar. taken from a photograph, its done with oils.

im not happy with the shoulder but i havnt touched it in about 2 years so i think thats as far as it will ever get

I love the way you've worked the fabrics and the candle flame, I hope, like Volt, that you find the original photo in the bottom of a drawer or in a pile of papers... Even if you don't you still have this image and it's really clear and special. It's a lovely piece of work.

If I may be so bold to say... I don't think it's the shoulder itself that's the problem rather the lack of collar bone definition.

yeah i know what you mean, iv painted over it 6 times n cant seem to get it right, everytime i put it in she looks scrawny which is just wrong!!!

I'll give it a go for you... It's a real pitty you don't have the photo any more. I hope it's just lost in a pile of paper somewhere and you find it again one day.
