Feels like you should add in 'small quantaties of non-poinsonous paint' in there somewhere. Nutritious!

I once put my history folder in the freezer, lost it for 4 days. not a great thing to do when major assignment time rolls round.

Funny way to put the typical diet of an art student, but I'd rather substitute cigarettes with chewing gum.

Hmm. Forgive me for being biased, but I like to believe that people who smoke, while they're aware it's hazardous to their health, generally have a dark outlook on life. So they just sit their and puff smoke signals to the Grim Reaper in a feather headdress, hoping to be taken away.

nice design! only thing is schools get pissy when you advertise tobacco... may be put in a bitten pencil instead? After all, when people dont know an answer for a test (and they are NOT cheating) those in school chew on their pencils! XD
thats my only critique, other than that, its SO TRUE!!!

But thanks!

Well for one thing, you'll want to take the text describing the servings, slightly reduce the size, and move each piece underneath its respective grpup to make a uniform looking triangle. You'll want to make sure there's a comfortable amount of space between the text and the outer lines of each group. If possible, remove any black outlines from the items within each food group (the apple, coffee mugs, etc.) and try and vecotorize them cleanly (in illustrator or corel draw perhaps, you'll probably want to make the noodles red or black for uniformity as well.) I work in a screen printing shop, so I can say with confidence that it's not jut the inherent cleverness of a design that makes it appealing, but also how streamlined it is. How easy the shirt will be to produce for the printer will most likely play a part in the decision, so you want the shirt to be as simple as possible. It takes one screen to do each color of ink on a shirt, so you want to make sure all the lines on the triangle are at least 1.5 units of thickness, Any thinner, and it will be very hard to wash out the emulsion on the screen for those lines, and ruin the design (I noticed the lines on the cookie and hamburger were very thin. Those would be acceptable to leave a black outline on, but I suggest for the cookie you make the chips black, and do a fill of red for the actual meat of the cookie. The way the cake is done will be a good point of reference.
Anyway, I hope this helps. It's a very clever and funny design and I myself would like to see it put on a t-shirt. Even if it doesn't, you could send me the final draft and maybe I could print it myself (no promises, though. We get kind of busy this time of year).

Hey no problem. I know a good design when I see one. Since it's only a two color design, it should be relatively simple for the printers to run. If you have any say in the matter of shirt color, I recommend a cream, (white is rarely a good idea) or possibly a charcoal grey or black (they'll use white ink for the black lines). Even an athletic heather would be good (it's a that light grainy gray).

Yup, two colors was a requirement. I have no idea what color shirts they're planning on choosing though. Hopefully they'll take a recommendation.
