I do not like MEAN AND NASTY homophobes.
But... i have mixed feeling about LITERAL homophobes. The ones that can't help but feel uncomfortable around homosexuals. And yes I've met one.

I hate homophobes just as much as I hate acephobes, transphobes, and biphobes.
But panphobes and demiphobes exist as well, since those are people's sexualities
that people assume are fake.

Honestly I don't like homophones but I don't think they're terrible people or impossible to reason with.
I'm not religious either but I've learned this argument.
So the part of the bible that they go to is in the old testament. Christianity was reformed so they use the new testament. They can't follow both testaments and they are supposed to only follow the new one. The new one doesn't say anything about being gay so there is no reason to hate gay people.
I don't know about other religions though I do know religions like Islam condemn gay people to and in Islamic countries they kill gay people.

Homophobes never have a good reason to be against gay people, period. They either default to their religion (a piss-poor excuse itself) or claim it's simply "their opinion" so we have to respect it otherwise we are hypocrites.
