Andy and Juliet have be like one of my favorite couples. They are just too cute together. The reference for all of Andy's tattoos are from November/December 2011 Revolver Magazine. There is an article where Andy talks about the meaning behind his tattoos. There was even some that I either didn't see in picture or never were in pictures, like the unfinished Batman on his right shoulder. As for Juliet, I google imaged all of them, well the ones I could see clearly.

I used [link] as a base, but is it really a bad thing to use bases? Please tell me that because I have had problems with people complaining I use bases. I honestly don't think it's a bad thing.

I think using a base is fine, and besides Andy loves your art so who cares right?
If using a base makes you happy and you have fun, then do it. It's not hurting anyone.

There is a big difference between tracing and looking off of someone else's work for a base. I never trace

LOL, no there isn`t. You`re still taking someone else`s work and shitting all over it because you simply can`t take the time to practice and draw on your own.
How do you think the person you`re stealing art from got that good? Practice.
You can`t learn if you`re copying off someone else`s work. You`re just cheating.

You know what? Go look at the quote I uploaded after this picture. I am not cheating, I am practicing. Honestly, everyone copies someone else work. Any fan art is coping someone Else's work. And, the person who I am using for a base doesn't care. I always ask and always give them credit if I can find the original owner.
If you are taking the time to view my work and the criticize me like this, why take the time to look at my drawings? No one else seems to care. Everyone uses bases in some way. I'm not tracing, I'm giving credit, and I clearly state on my profile that I use bases sometimes. If you don't like the way I work, don't view my pictures.

obviously, you didn't take into account on what else I said. If You don't like how I work, don't look at my stuff! Plain and simple! Everyone copies in some way, fan art, bases, everyone. You have too by the look of some of your anime drawings. Those are original characters there! You are copying someone else work.

Jaq, it will if you draw the base then study how you did it, that's how I was taught by the person who taught me anime. She drew me a head then I had to copy it, see. It's not really a bad thing. My logic is sealed and you have nothing else to say...really. Look if you have the time to to actually critise the work...(no offence intended Jaq but really) You use Slubox's techniques, isn't that still using a base? to work off, it may not be the actual base but you still work off it don't you?

I don`t, I admire his work but I prefer to draw my own style and learn on my own. I use painterly, he doesn`t so I`m not sure where you get the idea that I use his techniques. :U
