My contests entry for...not to mention, my very first artwork for year 2011!
I decided to try out "genderbender", so that's supposed to be Law as a lady. The tatoo on her leg is random, but I thought it'd be cool to have something that represents "heart"
Besides, her sleeves are all down, so I wanted to put someting instead of the ones on the arms. Sexy enough?

i swear to you, i’m not just being nice here, this is what i originally planned to type.
consider this a critique as well (like the ace one i did), because i can’t officially critique haha
so without further ado,

in one word: wow.
i’m starting to detect common threads between this and your recent GB pic of ace and anne :3 when it comes to articles of clothing that belong to the original one piece character, i see that you’ve given it to the female version to wear (ace’s and law’s hats for example; incidentally, it’ll also be interesting to see how you’d maintain this for subsequent installments of this series). i think that doing this is an effective way to draw attention to your character, pay homage to oda’s character, as well as convey that both are, in fact, the same person. i also noticed that your GB pieces have involved placing the male and female back to back while showing the female in 3/4 profile and the male in 1/4 profile. it’s a creative way to give the impression that an invisible mirror is present and forming a reflective image.
i’m not sure if this next one will be a common theme in your future GB works, but i sincerely hope it does it does. i noticed how you seem to unite the two characters by means of their abilities. in “aces”, you did so through the trails of their fire, and here you did the same through law’s blue aura / energy. you also captured how each character would presumably hold out their hand: lady law with her wrist slightly bent and fingers fanned out in front of her, and law with his hand cupped. i know this is a small detail to be focusing on, but it’s one of the aspects of this piece that i appreciate the most.
once again, i can’t praise you enough for your creative vision here. recycling the white-furred, spotted pattern on law’s hat and transplanting (haha, medical terms) it onto the legwarmers for lady law is simply a stroke of genius. it’s not only a fashionable move, but a functional one as well. it reminds me of the same why you applied this to the fur lining of law’s hood in his version of “missing piece”. just go into fashion design already, why don’t you.
like the ace GB deviation that came after this one, you once again display an excellent understanding of how to take masculine clothing and body language and successfully translate that into feminine terms. now that i think about it, maybe you have it a little easier since you’re a girl, but that doesn’t change the fact that you do this so well.
lengthening lady law’s sleeves and shortening her shorts is a brilliant way to accentuate her slender, graceful limbs while at the same time drawing attention to those gorgeous legwarmers. i also love how you opted to make the laws’ hair dark blue instead of the more commonly used black. it provides a nice median between the lightness of the yellow and darkness of the black that dominates this picture, not to mention that it just looks better like this.
i’m so drawn to the tattoo that’s one lady law’s thigh! it’s such a stylish way to allude to the heart pirates as well as law’s trademark tattoos. the design is effing beyond beautiful. i’d consider getting it in a heartbeat (haha, puns~). become a tattoo artist too while you’re at it :3 the design is flawless, and the fact that it’s on her thigh provides a larger space with which to show more of the tattoo while also allowing it to become unintentionally sexual.
lady law’s appearance is a perfect rendering of law’s. i think you’ve portrayed that dark sort of charm fantastically. in contrast to law’s slightly creepy smile, lady law’s somber expression could also happen to coincide with law’s personality. the heavy-lidded-ness of her eyes also makes her look incredibly attractive for some reason.
