Another thing from art class. I had it submitted in the fair and i didn't get anything but I still really like it regardless <3Yes its kiara.
Yes its pen and ink.
No i hadn't sketched it before... that i remember... no, i didn't erase anything so no, there was no pencil involved.
thats why the face is a bit messed up. *shrugs* yeeahh
I bought fake feathers from a craft store to have a reference.
but that was the only reference.
this picture was to big for my scanner sooo i took a picture of it... lol

For a start, I love that it's black and white. It makes things like the crystals, her eyes, the highlights in her hair, etc. stand out especially well.
The shading is fantastic. Somehow the shading on Kiara's hair casts a very nice, whimsical feel to the rest of the drawing. And the feathers. The feathers are so detailed... It's amazing. o_e
I've always loved how you've done eyes, and here they turned out extremely well. They portray so much emotion, yet are surprisingly simple. (Not to say they aren't amazing.) It seems to me here the girl (Kiara?) is sort of passive, but intrigued and intimately aware of everything around her at the same time, if that makes sense... e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="19" height="19" alt="
Oh well.
I don't know, because I'm horrid at hands, but it seems to me the spaces between the fingers are a little too wide, and the hand is maybe a little too round...? Either way, it looks fantastic.
Everything you do has so much detail. I can do detail, I suppose, but with your art, every detail sinks in and melds together into the background to create a magnificent masterpiece, whilst everything I do looks out of place.
My point is, this is just phenomenal.

I think you're rating might be a bit to high but it makes me feel really good. especially because i always felt like on most of my art the detail was lacking so for you to say that its good makes me happy X3 *hugs*
