I used a basic sharpen filter, but aside from that, I just used high res pics for most of my wallpapers. When googling images, I usually search for images with greater dimensions, even if the final piece is going to be a lot smaller. It's like when you buy clothes, it's better to get something a size too big than a size to small, because if something is big you can tailor it to fit. Only problem is, it limits the pool of images to choose from.

Thanks a lot for quick reply That's true, pool of pictures in high res is limited. And in this particular case it's even harder to get, as the image is not fresh and actual anymore. I checked most of high res sites, like the one you've posted (thanks a lot for this too!), but the highest I found was 1200 x 1600, where as in your image his face alone has almost same dimensions! LOL Well, I guess I'll keep looking, world wide web is endless, you only gotta dig deep enough!
