Sooooo, for half the time here I swear I was just painting shades around and just "la la la Idk what I'm doing anymore whelp"...Either way, do you recognize the darling Whitestorm after his overhaul? ;w; He's... not that much different, eh? Ah but he's such a precious chara I had to do him justice though, really~ And I am, in the end, almost content with the way he looks, weeeeee.
Whitestorm's family is tricky to explain, at best... his mother is for all intents and purposes white, and his dad a weird blue bicolour - the trouble lies with the fact that Snowfur already, is an impossible outcome for her parents to have (since neither Stormtail nor Moonflower has any white -.-') soooo, what to do? Silver shading, that's what~ It's dominant, and it turns the coat very pale, if not completely white - I didn't want to go all the way to the chincilla colouring, I know little enough about the silver gene as it is, wouldn't want to dig my grave even deeper, haha... ha... ha...
So yes, you can expect more silver cats in this family line coughsnowfurandmoonflowercough to justify this change of design~ His coat is black-based, just to clear up stuff, or Sorreltail would've had to be a dilute cat (since Willowpelt is pale too) and I wouldn't accept that idea, nope. Doesn't match with the word 'sorrel'.
Speaking of his daughter, Whitestorm's chosen breed should be obvious; Siberian forest cat, yaay~ He's the same as his daughter, and I'll sprinkle his ancestry with a little of the breed too.

P.S. I have recently adopted the headcanon that Whitestorm is actually Greystripe's real dad and nothing you people say can convince me otherwise bye~

Couldn't Snowfur still have black ears if she had a black tail as well? That would mean she has a heavy-white spotting gene, which could still allow Whitestorm to be all white?

Yeah certainly, if she was a high-grade white spotted that could have made her more or less looking like canon, and aided Whitestorm in turn. The downside of that idea is that you'd have to give white spotting to both Stormtail and Moonflower as well, since Snowfur has to inherit her white from both parents at once (and since neither has canonically any white, you have to decide what you'd sacrifice)

As for him being Graystripe's father...Headcannon accepted! I can somewhat be okay with Tawnyspots( who is freaking gray and a tabby and not spotted(Unlkess of course she meant spotted tabby), god Kate, how hard is it to to make him a brown color? Or, better yet, rename him Stormspots, Grayspots, Cinderstripe, Ashstripe, etc.?!)being her mate, but not her brother. Also, it just works out perfectly and I love the thought of Graystripe being an older brother :3
Speaking of fathers, who do you think the father of Brindleface's kits, Trash-er-Ashfur and Ferncloud, is?

I could've done that too, but I fear Tawnyspots went and kicked the bucket too early haha. (Hmm, not bad name alternatives either those really~) And then I discovered my purebred Whitestorm and Greystripe have the same silver shading and it just clicked~ And yes, big bro Grey sounds adorable. ;w;
Well, I have my money on Redtail for several reasons. 1) Brindleface was already back in the nursery before he got killed 2) Redtail's coat colour doesn't screw with either Ash or Fern's design and 3) I never liked the idea of Whitestorm actually going around and randomly mating with she-cats. He was more upfront and honest like that, and RedxBrindle sounds just too cute for me. xD

Honestly, I mostly don't know who else could be the father. It's mostly because I'm too lazy right now. However, I think the Erins saw there were mits born with no parents and just thought it'd be a good idea to slap Willowpelt and Tawnyspots(thanks) and have them be the parents of Darkstripe.

Yeah something along those lines... I mean all the old pairings and parenthoods were decided it seems on basically nothing and well, Idk created on a whim. A bit annoying too. But seriously young Willowpelt is a bit weird tho, I mean barely a warrior and then mating this ancient-old dude and bearing his son??
Well, I forgot myself for a moment there - Redtail 'can' be the father, if you tweak Ferncloud juuuust a little. There's this thing called a 'cryptic' tortoiseshell - they're seemingly completely black-based cats with no red, but who suddenly has red children, meaning they're torties without necessarily looking like torties. It's the one thing which can redeem and make Redtail the possible father for both Brindleface's litter. I totally forgot for a moment that tortie toms generally don't breed like torties, heh. ^^'

We went for Fox as a chocolate tabby rather than red in the end. Birchfall is a lilac tabby, Shrewpaw is a chocolate solid, and Icecloud is a blue-eyed albino. (Only way to salvage her design without having to butcher Fern and Dust's)

He's such a handsome guy, and I actually think I prefer him like this, opposed to "pure white." For one, he just rly looks pretty, and that gene is beautiful! For another, it also still fits him, so really, I see no problem with it B) And also him as Gray's dad = A+. I agree completely.

Seconded! (Thirded...fourthed...fifthed...I lost count.) He is absolutely gorgeous. The shading gives his coat so much more depth than just a blank white. Even if his name implies a whiteout - well, who said that Warriors names had to make sense? (looks around) Anyone? Nope? Didn't think so.
Basically, I love what you've done here. It probably helps that I liked Whitestorm because he wasn't around beyond the first series for the Erins to overly complicate and in all probability ruin. He seemed to have much more common sense, not to mention patience, than most of the rest of the cast, even back then.
