Dear friends,Today I had a spare afternoon and thought, "I have been neglecting DeviantART for such a long time, why not write a journal entry?" So here I am. I know not a lot of you probably read this or will comment or even see it, but at least it's here for those who do stumble across it and have time to read it. I just felt like writing.
To everyone who supports me along this winding photography path, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even if I don't get to reply to everyone who messages, emails and comments, I still always and forever appreciate it more than you would ever know. You all fill me with such confidence and push me through the times when I think, "Why am I doing this?" Thank you, my beautiful army of dreamers.
When I was younger my parents told me that the two most important things in life were "happiness" and "health". And pursuing photography as a full time career and making it into my life has made me one of the happiest little people. I would spend my childhood playing with my mother's camera equipment, she was a passionate photographer and would put flowers in my hair and photograph me dancing barefoot through the garden. There was never a point in my life where I considered photography as a career, it all just kind of happened and before I knew it, I found myself earning my first pounds by taking photos for people.
So all I want to say in this journal entry is that if you have a dream, if you find yourself someone you are happy with and if you are determined, dream big and live fast. Everything is achievable if you put your mind to it. Some things take time, other things happen all at once, but they will build you in confidence and help mould you into who you're supposed to be. Never be afraid to be yourself and don't ever let your dreams go because you are constantly closer to achieving them. Spread your wings and enjoy who you are and what you have because life changes quickly and you have to keep up. But through it all, your dreams will keep you alive, even in your darkest hours.
Be yourself, you're supposed to be.

Sitting here in my home studio, listening back to songs I'm recording for an album I'm making and I stumble upon your journal entry and gallery. I'm so lucky because I now know about your amazing pictures! You are very talented and I'm sure all of your dreams will come true. This journal post actually caught my attention because my birthday is May 24th. Whenever I see something that was made on my birthday I like to see what someone else was doing that day, in another part of the world. I've been chasing my music dreams since I was a boy. It's nice to see a fellow dream chaser

I just stumbled across your beautiful dA and was so charmed by your photos. They are all so whimsical and emotive but like everyone else I am particularly drawn to those of you and your Nathan - I found you in the first place because I was browsing dA for images of couples to give me ideas for a drawing of me and my beloved! We are pretty young too still (23/27) and couldn't be more in love, so I was instantly charmed! But I had to post when I read this journal because it was so sweet, sincere, and true that it actually made me tear up a little!
Good luck in everything you do, from the brief bit I have learned of you via your internet niche, it seems you are truly a beautiful person trying to create a happy nook of sunshine in this dreary world

Thanks for taking the time to write this. I find a lot of your work very inspiring and I really enjoy looking through your gallery when I get a spare moment.
And thank you for your uplifting words. Right now, I'm in high school, and I'm trying to get involved with theatre, but my parents don't think it's a great idea. They don't think that it provides a very stable career, but it's really the only thing I'm interested in. I auditioned today, actually, for our school's musical and I probably screwed up really badly. I know I totally butchered the song, but my monologue went okay, with the except on me saying the wrong line that started with "But-"... And I know you probably won't have time to read this, but I want you to know that you're inspiring me to follow my dreams even if people don't think I can make it. I'm happy with who I am, and I can only hope that others will be happy with me in time. And if I make it into the musical, I'll think back to this journal and know that I really did follow my dreams. Only 72 hours ago I wasn't going to audition. But I'm glad I went through with it. I'm proud of me.
So thank you.

i'm proud of you for doing what you did, it's a huge step to walk out of your comfort zone but at the end of the day, you have to always try. the main thing is that you gain your own confidence and that is irreplaceable. i am sure you did the better than you ever imagined and whatever the outcome, you can be happy knowing how you overcame a personal hurdle. and that's what life is about, overcoming each hurdle. you never stop following those dreams of yours, i promise you, they'll take you to much higher places than you could ever imagine. keep going, dreamer!

Thanks, it took a lot to get ready for my audition, and I didn't get the callback, but I'm still happy with myself for trying. Next time I'll be ready, and I'll get in, this time was much more trial than it was a "I need to get the role" sort of deal, and I'm going to tech for th musical, so it's all good. I'm definitely going to continue acting, and dreaming. Thank you soooo much! (I actually have my class play tomorrow, and I am thrilled to get to be on stage again!)

Your words in this entry journal are all I needed to read at the moment, you're so inspiring. I feel quite better than twenty minutes ago, thanks to you. I think that everyone needs a person like you, not only to help when almost everything's going wrong but also, just to enjoy life.
Moreover, when I feel bad, like now, scared of losing my Love (long story indeed), when I cry for something which seems too big for me, when it feels like the end of my little world, thanks to person like you I realize that there are many things to help, there are passion, dreams, and that I must not let them go. This is exactly what I needed to read now. You know, I've been disappointed in myself for quite some time now, about photography.
Whenever I take a good photo, I instantly get happy, my whole day changes just by looking at it. Probably most of the people who see it think it's just okay or not good enough, but I don't care. I think "hey you wanted to take this kind of picture for a long time, and today you made it!" and that gives me courage to go on.
I have no idea what I want to do in the future, but being a photographer is my dream. And you are my role model and you inspire me every day. I just wanted to tell you that once more, and this is one more reason for you to never feel sad or want to give up. You make people's dreams come true by encouraging them.
Also I have one suggestion: I think that you should make a book with your 365 project when it's finished. You know, 365 pages, with the picture of the day and those little texts you write every day. I would LOVE to buy it, and I'm pretty sure many others would too. Just saying
