Description
This is the first design in my "Fairy Tales & Folklore" collection that I'm doing for The DA Fashion Week .(I will write a proper description of the collection in my journal later.)
The Little Red Riding Hood outfit consists of a red felt hood (lined in cotton), over-long red knitted wool scarf, a patterned, heavy cotton smock dress that would have buttons (little and red) down the back, white wool & cotton mix opaque tights and little black velvet mary-janes. The pocket on the smock dress has a gathered/elasticated edge.
There would be a white cotton slip under the smock dress.

Technical bits:
This was done with a mix of markers, colouring pencils, gel pen and PhotoShop. The pattern on the dress is scanned from actual fabric and added onto the rest of the drawing in PhotoShop.

Actually, if you wouidn't mind, I'd love to hear some critique from you. I really value your opinion on this sort of stuff.
As I've said earlier, I haven't designed, and I mean properly designed, in ages and it would really help to get some feedback.

It's nice to do 2D stuff again. It's been too long since I last grabbed a pencil and my drawing bits have gotten a bit rusty, so it's good to give them a little excersise every now and then. It feels so good to design again!

after I haven't drawn for awhile I always get nervous that I won't be able to do it anymore.
I'm always relieved once that first piece comes out intact.

I'm not sure whether my collection will get to be shown or not (only 15 collections get to be featured), but I'm giving it a go none the less!
It's been way too long since I last designed anything and this is the perfect opportunity to stretch my design muscles a bit. And I have to add, so far I'm really enjoying this!
