Holy cow, Vel, I think this has to be some of your best. Great job with the anatomy! You really nailed it. Definitely screams sighthound. :3 I especially like the head and the spine.

Auuugh, that's part of the reason I kind of went digital. I need to practice backgrounds, but it feels so awful to mess up a good piece with a crappy background.
Nowadays I actually do the drawing on paper and then take a photo and ink it digitally. I've never even trusted myself to take a pen to my sketches! XD
