Don't feel too horrible, there are some honest hunters in need out there. I love elk, I think they are majestic creatures, but at the same time, I elk hunt. It's a natural part of life, one creature has long died to feed another. And an elk puts a big pile of edible in the freezer, and that's a lot of money saved for other things (we're a little short on cash most of the time). Anything we get, I thank the creature's spirit for, and when consumed, I do again.
Game hunters, however, the idiots who hunt to put up something on a wall... they could rot. All of 'em.

Yeah and all the meat is organic! I try really hard to eat or use every part of the deer. I actually saw some antler buttons that were divine! I am bugging my grandfather to make me some.

Exactly! And if you ever get the chance, elk has a fantastic flavor, better than deer in my opinion. And it's sooooooo much healthier than beef.

The only time I would ever have the chance is when my boyfriend goes hunting in Iowa and that is if he gets one. But the jerky is awesome! I got some from cabella's

We live in an elk hunting area, but it's still been a few years now since we've gotten anything. I sure miss it.
