A small gift for

We had a conversation about my recent upload which showed Kiwano (my sona) in a cave painting style. We talked about how cool it would be if there would exist a cave painting of a Smilodon and that it's possible that scientists found a carving that shows a Homotherium (it's not sure what animal the carving shows. It could be a Homotherium or something else). Tacimurs Sona is a Homotherium crenatidens and so I wanted to draw her in a cave painting drawing style too ^^

I hope you don't mind that I used my Kiwano cave painting and altered it a bit to make it look like your Homotherium crenatidens ^^

I hope you like it

That looks almost exactly like a cave drawing.  Nice work.

o.o I just read your reply and checked my messages. Wanted to view your Smilodon painting again when it came up as a thumbnail, realized the title was different, realized what it was... I'm totally moved by this somehow. It's the most beautiful thing ever. Oh god, thank you so much! I'll use this as an avatar in a ton of places if you don't mind. Thank you for taking the time to make this, it is wonderful!

btw, the Homotherium-or-not is a carving, I don't remember from what... ivory or wood. Sadly not painting. ^^ I can't find a photo of the thing right now (but I think I saw one) and I'm relatively sure the original is lost, but this is a drawing of it. Here it's called a lion, which it probably is. phenomena.nationalgeographic.c… The details the artist highlighted here were almost invisible in the original.

Sure, I've drawn the picture for you, so you can use it however you like it
I feel honoured that you consider using it as an avatar

Ah then I misread your reply about the painting/carving   Ah yes, I've seen that carved lion It's really fascinating how detailed some of these carvings and cave paintings are ^^ I really would like to travel to one of those caves (Chauvet cave) one day to see these amazing paintings myself
