James moved to America for school, meeting Jason in his classes, on the second year he moved in with Jason and his best friend; Hannah.

He owns a Chow Chow back home that lives with his parents, who'd he named 'Big Bear'. Big Bear is a sweetheart but he can't bring himself to have his pet come live with him as he's just as much his parents dog as he is his. Family is a big thing for James, and he has 4 siblings back home. He talks to them before he heads to bed and he's introduced Jason and Hannah to them over skype.

He'd gotten his job as a barista thanks to Hannah, since she worked at the same shop. He'd made a few friends with people there, even a few who also knew Korean. And thanks to his job he's become their apartments barista, though he and Hannah take turns he prefers it, and James always takes first pick to be on dinner duty.
