This bad . Not realistic..there is à glow on THE nicht part of the planet.

Tip: youse textures for you planet and watch tuturials on THE internet for making planets

Actually, I have tip for you: USE BETTER GRAMMAR WHEN YOU SPEAK SO YOU DON'T COME ACROSS LIKE A MORON!

Fine, so it isn't realistic. I'm still working on it. You have any texture brushes I could use? I was thinking of re-doing this one, so I could maybe get the textures to be just a little more realistic.

Actually, I want to work in the fantasy sci-fi genre. Over the entirety of this year, I'm going to cover a wide range of themes, be it fairies, ogres, dragons, aliens, etc. I want to get better at drawing these kinds of things, so this will be a practice year for me. In fact, I'm actually making another version of this old thing:

The remake should have a different character design, as well as being better overall, so look forward to it.

I love those little sparkles in back and where, below the earth, there seems to be a faint rainbow. Also, have to agree with *irenukia a little on how bright the sun is to this whole picture--though it would be the brightest in a solar photo, it does seem to be taking away from what I think is supposed to be the focus (apology if I'm wrong).

Other than that one little bit, it's really really nice and I like those little whites over toward the left. What I think I love most is the clouds on the earth-like planet. They look so fluffy!

Critique:
I like this piece! Space art is always something that appeals to people in general, of course, because who doesn’t like seeing the stars and the other things out there we can only see with telescopes and cameras?

1) I like the way you did the earth. It looks like it’s been painted traditionally. The glow around is nice too, but it’s too perfectly round. Most of the pictures that have Earth have a very hazy, very fuzzy haze around it, not a clearly defined glow. Nearest the sun the strong glow is expected, but around the rest of the earth I would expect more blurring of it. Same thing for Venus (or Mercury?)

2) The planetary bodies (I assume they’re suns of the planets or stars) Are also too well-defined and too round. Stars seen this “close” are usually lop-sided and different hues, not such strong blues. Such strong blues indicate that the star is small, so that means that they’re vastly disproportionate in size to the earth and Venus/Mercury.

3) The glow around the sun is good, but the red ring should be just a bit hazy, just enough to look spiky but still look like a ring of glow. As for the glowing stars (I don’t really know what they are) around it, I don’t know what to make of them. Taking artistic liberty is good, but this much warrants some sort of explanation or reason in the artist’s comments, even a simple, “I’ve taken some artistic liberties with this piece.”

4) The stars are too clearly defined, even spread out, and are all the same size, like glitter. Stars seen in pictures like this are usually in clusters, hazes, or bunches, different sizes, varying brightnesses, etc. It doesn’t necessarily have to be tedious to do this digitally, since you can set your brush’s opacity, size, and spacing to vary, and then you can blur them a bit or move around what you don’t like. The “void” of space behind is also too consistent. It needs varying lights and darknesses, some clouds to indicate galaxies nebulae, etc.

I hope this helped!

Yes, it helped thoroughly. This is the kind of thing I need. That and more views, if you would be so kind to spread the word. Thank you very much.

I'm not a fan of the random glowing sun-like particles. The farther planet has an odd blue outline which seems unnecessary. The closer planet looks pretty Earth-like, but I can't help but assume it is not supposed to be Earth. In any case, I like how it looks.

It's a very powerful image!

Although I feel there's too much shine going on, so the subject becomes unclear. Like the Earth looks like it'd be the subject telling from its size, but the really shiny sun?, asteroid? in the middle is a bit distracting because it's very overpowering! And I feel like there's too many stars - although it's true that the universe has an immense amount of stars, we can't see them so close to each other in normal photographs of the universe, I'd say. But this is a painting after all, it doesn't need to be realistic in that aspect.

Now this all sounded so negative but I really enjoy this painting, I love the colors and that the brightness and darkness is quite balanced! Fantastic work overall (:
