Description

Hecate was fun. She was what you might consider a "cool adult", if there ever was such a thing. She always welcomed fun adventures, willingly obliged to the silly games the pups came up with and was usually the most forgiving if one were to chomp down on her tail too hard while playing.

Which is why it was the greatest disappointment of the young boy's entire life when she denied him from tagging along on one of her trips to scout along the remaining lands of Taika. Much like anyone else he had asked, Hecate deemed it too dangerous to bring a pup into the freelands, and even if she had a sliver of faith it would go well, she would still need his mother's approval - which he already knew would never be given.

Disasters and destruction were both strong subjects of interest to the young pup, and not being allowed to observe the remaining death and devastation of a once flourishing land until a tidal wave had come upon it was unfair! All because he was too young!

Casimir stopped asking after that, resolving to sulk in the corner as the other pups played together in the fields. However, it soon became apparent nobody paid him any heed, assuming he'd diligently stay put where he was despite his despair. It was too good a chance to spill, and so the darkling slipped into the foliage and quickly ran towards the border where he suspected Hecate would leave from, finding her just in time to shadow her departure into the Forbidden Freelands.
