Her mind full, and still grieving the loss of a friend, Posie splits from her river patrol and heads back north. She does not get far before her mind gets the best of her however, and she stops at the riverbank. Deeply distracted by her contemplation, a skydan appears out of nowhere, nearly bumping into her.
