So there's a new show that came out in april called Nichijou tv. hahait's one of those random nonsense comedy shows.
i watched it at like 4 in the morning last night and laughed a lot.
And so i drew one of the characters! i don't know her name right now. haha but she has a cute uniform. (edit: her name is Mio. xD)
And i wanted to use my speedball pens so i did~
and colors in ps.
I don't own this character! but i own this drawing!!

Bah the coloring was frustrating, bc i had gotten the base colors done and then photoshop crashed and i didn't save it. so i had to rescan and start from scratch. D< haha
And thanks! I hadn't used my nib pen and ink in a long time, so i wanted to on a simple picture.

They are so hard to use! the nib i used was easier bc it doesn't vary in line thickness like my other one. Now THAT one is hard use. haha

Yeah, those ones get messy. Which nib are you using (and can you link a picture to it if possible)? I really love the results you got with it. ^^ Looks so clean--like a cartoon.

Ohh, I see that in some stores. ^^ Maybe I'll get it... Sorry, but may I ask what ink you use? I really love working with ink pens (despite that they're messy), but the ones I usually use are hard to get as they are sold in a store that is far away from where I live. The ink I use is kind of watery and not very opaque (or Copic proof or water proof), and the nibs I have access to are of cheap quality and very easily bendable.

my ink isn't waterproof. its this sumi ink ([link] )
it's VERY black but i don't think it can withstand markers or watercolors unless you try to avoid rubbing the lines much. I need to invest in some india ink that's waterproof. But that sumi ink is good if you aren't planning on coloring the lines traditionally. xD

Well, I can. haha but then i can't pay myself. Bc i don't have a bank account. So i'd have to have my sister or mother order it. and having to pay shipping is a hassle.
