Reisa Kajiwara (Japanese: 梶原令咲, Kajiwara Reisa) is a 3rd year at Kitsui High School. She is a setter in the Kitsui High Volleyball Club, the twin of Shia Kajiwara and older sister of first-year Masatō Kajiwara.

Appearance

Reisa is a young woman with average height and a slender build. She has medium-length brown hair and golden brown eyes. She is often seen with a smile or grin on her face that shows her dimples.

Upon being a returnee of Kitsui’s Girls’ Volleyball Club, Reisa wears the standard Kitsui volleyball uniform (white, gold, and burgundy with the number 4) during games. She also wears knee pads, and black volleyball shoes with silver details. She also tapes her fingers during games.

Personality

Reisa is an energetic and optimistic young woman who enjoys making others laugh through her own mischievous antics. She is big-hearted and likes meeting new faces and learning about them, even if she seems easily-distracted. She is straightforward and dislikes mincing her words for the sole reason because she thinks holding back on the truth can hurt people more than what she has to say.

However, Reisa is headstrong and very opinionated and it can take a lot of convincing for her to change her stance on something. She can also be egotistic and arrogant about herself and can become harsh without considering that she might potentially hurt someone. In addition, she is possessive over things that she holds very closely to her heart and, while she has no problem with giving, she isn’t very good with sharing.

Although she got into Kitsui High through money, she only took to volleyball during her last year of junior high and liked the idea of the sport. When she entered Kitsui High as a first-year, she was known to accommodate any of the players’ setting preferences after a few “test tosses” to them. She and her sister, Shia, are known for their “power quick” and “bluff charge”.

Stamina    3/5

Game Sense    4/5

Technique    5/5

Speed        3/5

Reisa is known for her quick-thinking and is especially observant on the court. If she sees that the person who called for the set has potential blockers, she can shoot pipe-lines to throw her opponents off. She likes to converse with her opponents before a game, which her captain frowns upon, only because she likes to study their potential habits and behavior in general. In addition, despite her lack of power for spikes, she is known for her top-spin serves.

Trivia

  • Favorite Food: salty fries.

  • Current Concern: After graduating high school, she won’t get to confuse teachers about her identity with her twin.

  • Her star sign is Leo.

  • While she converses with her opponents before matches, she tries to intimidate them in an undertone.

  • She enjoys calling her coach and captain Papa and Mama Fox.

  • Although the femine kaji for “Rei” (麗) means “beautiful, lovely”, her creator (aka me) wanted her name to address her position in volleyball, which is why the kanji 令 was picked instead.

  • Nomenclature:

    • “Rei” (令) meaning “order, command” and “sa” (咲) meaning “blossom”.
