Contest entry for the contest, in which two Titans are “mixed” – essentially, the offspring of two Titans is created. So, I decided to make two: Ava and Merrick.

AVA:
Ava is the daughter of Raven and Robin. Her name (pronounced AY-vah) means ‘bird-like’... Oh, I’m clever . (It also happens to be the name of the gorgeous Tom Delonge’s daughter…).

Possibly most noticeably, she received Robin’s brilliant blue eyes. Her hair is a dark violet, a mix between Robin’s black and Raven’s purple. She is pale, yet not to the same extent as Rae.

Fashion-wise, she has adopted a bit from both Robin and Raven. Her style is darker, like Raven’s, however carries elements from Robin’s original uniform. She received Robin’s confidence, and is consequently less conservative than Raven.

Ava does not possess any obvious superpowers; however she has an abnormally acute sense of empathy, and has an extremely high intellect. She is gifted in martial arts and physical combat.

Ava is a strong-willed, confident individual. She has a self-assured, almost arrogant air to her, and makes full use of her inherent satirical nature any chance she gets. She is very independent and sometimes is a bit icy towards others, but perhaps despite claims, she does perform best in a team situation.

MERRICK:
Merrick is the son of Starfire and Aqualad. His name (pronounced MARE-ik) means ‘Ruler of the Sea’ (though he doesn’t ).

He has Star’s eyes… the rest of his appearance pretty much an even blend between the two parents - his hair, his uniform, his built-but-lanky body...

Merrick does not possess Tamaranean super-strength, nor is he able to control water. However, he has the ability to fire energy blasts, like Starfire. He can survive in extreme conditions, such as in extreme cold, in outer-space, and of course underwater. He can communicate with sea creatures, in addition to being able to learn languages with a kiss.

Personality-wise, Merrick is a bit more like his father. He is rather calm and laid-back, with a good-natured attitude. He scarcely gets angered, unlike the passionate Starfire. He is, like Star, an optimist, and looks for the good in everything and everyone.
