Thanks!  I haven't actually played Kancolle, but I'm absolutely in love with the abyssal designs, especially Wo-Class.  I mean she's super creepy looking and has a giant jellyfish hat what's not to love?

Ahh thank you! ;v;  I actually REALLY like the idea of using super limited palettes for... whatever I want my style to end up being so this has been a good experiment so far.  Most of the time I get intimidated because it's easy to distract from my weak points with shading and sparkles pfff

I'm glad you think the composition worked out for that one!  I spent quite a while rearranging limbs and stuff haha.  I think at some point when I have more time I might try to redraw it with a little more effort cuz I ended up liking the idea quite a bit.  ><

YES!!  I'm totally obsessed with Kurayami ni Strobe and really... everything Hayakawa Nojiko has ever done?  Her art has such a nice soft feeling and the characters are so endearing and her PANELING.  I don't usually think too much about the more technical aspects of manga like that but I could go on about them for ages when it comes to hers.  She's honestly one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to comics.  *u*  I'm really excited the side characters from Kurayami ni Strobe are getting a spinoff cuz they were really cute too askdlfjs.  OTL

I'm excited to actually be FINISHING things haha.  It's been a while since I've drawn this much, it's refreshing.  :')

I'm so happy you do because you always have the best uses for limited palettes, each one has
turned out so perfectly! (I do the same thing, sparkles are a ton of fun to add, I'm not sure why,
they just make things so much funner, and also cuter) 

I'd LOVE to see it if you ever do redraw it in the future! Two beautiful versions to look at *o*

YES YES YES! Her abstract paneling is really artistic and gives so much emotion. Plus her style is
a really beautiful kind of sketching! I was so excited to hear that too because they too were a ton of fun
to follow.

I'm glad you think so!  I discovered it's surprisingly hard to make colors nice when you have just a few.  ><  Butyeah the temptation of sparkles is hard to resist!  The more there are the cuter a pic is.  x3

YEAH it has such a loose style and just gives off a really peaceful soft vibe?  Uggh I don't even know how to explain it but it always makes me think of lazy summer days.  ;v;  But she's totally able to create different atmospheres from different stories it's super impressive!  Have you read Ito Mo Tayasuku?  It's short but it's become one of my favorites because she created such an unsettling feeling even though that was the last thing I expected from her work.  But pretty much everything she's ever done is one of my favorites since her art is so good and her character's relationships are always so sweet.  <3

It's a real challenge, but so worth it when you finally get the colours to work. *__* 
It's kind of like a puzzle in a way, eheheh! Cute is the way to go!

Yes! It's really difficult to put in words but it brings out a lot of emotions. I've actually not read that
one but i'll definitely have to go check it out! She's really great with character interactions and personalities.
(Plus i'm happy she has great female characters around too!)

Yeah, color usually ends up being what attracts me most to a picture, so I try my best to make mine look good!  *u*

It's SUPER short like under ten pages I think?  But ARGGGHHh I'm just in love with everything she draws.
YES I'm always super happy when a bl series has female characters that don't exist purely to be flat antagonists.  So many times if there's a girl she's either a a love rival or just a terrible catty person so it's nice to see supportive female friends or family members.  :')

Yes! More girls in BL deserve to be supportive cast rather than antagonists. It just makes me feel
really sad. "Oh she's cute!" *she destroys relationship out of jealousy.* "O-oh..."

UGH yeah I've really never understood that.  Like since the target audience for 99% of bl is women you'd think they'd WANT female characters who are actually good characters?  I guess maybe it's that sort of mentality of "they get in the way of the ship" but I mean it's a bl series you already know they're not going to end up with a girl.  x'D

I think the worst is that some series even start with one of the characters dating a girl and then treat her as a terrible person when they break up or even if he cheats on her and she gets upset.  It's like, that's definitely a normal reaction why would you hate a character for that?  OTLL  Sometimes bl tropes are just ridiculous.
