yeah, the thing is I can't shade unless it's in pencil, so it's really hard to shade with digital, which hinder's me a bit.
also, the shading makes it a bit less clean, and most of the pieces I've been cranking out, I imagine clean and simple, ya know? Less dramatic.

Don't feel bad, backgrounds suck. When will you get a tablet? Pencil does add a "grungy" feel to art, and I can understand that's not what you're going for.Β

mm, to be honest, I love them with all my heart, lol
They're just harder to do with what I work with-- I've started to do lots of scenery! No one has seen it yet, but scenery!
mm, being blunt, I most likely wont get a tablet for a few years.
- They're crazy expensive, especially if you don't want a crappy one.
- they take time to get used to
- People drawing bland digital stuff scared me off a bit
- I'm pretty happy having the schedule I have now (doodle at school, clean and color at home. Efficient!)
Maybe at this point I've just accepted "grungy" as part of my style, lol.
