Thanks, white faced herons are found in New Zealand and Australia, some people do call them grey herons but they are different to the grey herons found in Europe and Asia.Β

Agreed, definitely different to our grey herons - even the face and eyes are slightly different. I wonder if they are an adaptation or a different evolutionary line.

Thank you, the herons only catch our smaller fish, not any of the goldfish, so they don't do any harm luckily.Β

Wow haha, I wouldn't think they would even try catch the koi, I hope they didn't hurt any of your fish.

Sadly they hurt some of them quite badly, so we had to treat them. The pond we have now are built to deter herons.
