Artists Notes:
I am working on anatomy and this was a good project to get in some practice. Though personally I think the anatomy looks a bit odd after taking a look at the final product, but then I am my own worst critic and I am still in practice.
Coloring and shading was so much fun, rather than the traditional lineart-color-in method, I used shapes in layer after layer and the shadowing to make the figure take on a more 3D/"realistic" visual. The feathers and headdress were a joy to work on.
I made a few interesting points (interesting and fun to me anyway) in her costume; her horns go through the eyes of the skull headdress and the spiral necklace she's wearing is a popular ornament in the DreamKeepers Harvest Festival, where beads of different fortunes and meanings are collected and the purple glow of the skulls signifying Namahs power even though it is not in their normal nether-tendril form.

There will be a part2 to this at some point, mainly just a view of the outfit from the front, it was not completed in time for the contest. Been busy...
