From a sketch I did nearly two years agoΒ Post Clone Wars Ahsoka and BarrissBack when I first made this sketch, I had this whole set of ideas for several illustrations of my take on the life of Ahsoka and Barriss, post clone wars and during the empire age. Sadly, I had lost all motivation of doing all these ideas, so this might as well be first and only illustration of this story.
This might be the last drawing I am able to do on my computer since I don't want to risk getting it damaged or something until I am able to get the replacement part.

I have to say that I love this version of Ahsoka to her rebels version since its looks more like what she looked like in her vision on Mortis than rebels does.(fuller face markings only a little different.)
I would have loved to of seen the rest of the empire saga if this is the cover page to the saga.
I hope that we see more of this Ahsoka and Barriss in the future even without the saga planed ideas.................please?

So what is Ahsoka's weapon anyway? A spear or some kind of trident?

Hmm, like a cross between a double bladed sword, and a pole staff. It's a bit inspired by the main weapon from a character from Ratchet and Clank named Azimuth.

Great outfits of both ladies, they really looks like warriors. The purple colors on Barriss' darksabers looks stunning!
I like this well known design of Ahsoka, it's much better than the Rebels version. The extra tattoos of Barriss' face is a nice addition.

in clone wars the design of ahsokas face markings worked. In rebels it doesn't. One of multiple reasons I like the old style better.
Barriss hasn't shown up yet in rebles so I can only speak about ahsoka

What I mean is, the new design almost made her look like someone else. In my opinion it just doesn't fit the character.
Just like if I would do a drawing of barriss and change the eyes or the nose, it will look like something but not really like barriss. Understand what I mean?

Ok, I see what you mean. Well that's true, the first time I saw her on Rebels, my mind did paused for a moment that made me think "That's her? She sure looks different". Personally I don't find it too bad, and I think it makes sense her markings would change a lot because throughout her life her markings always kept changing, and I think because she is now older, the skin around her face had streched and thus changed the look of her markings.

True, she is older and that could be the reason for those changes. Even trough I'm not sure if they would be that noticeable. She was about 17 years old then she left the order right? And now she is somewhere between 20 and 25 I guess. So I don't think there would much of a change...but whatever I think the actual reason is the change of style between the two series.

Well she is now 32 years old, remember the series takes place 14 years after episode 3 and about 5 years before episode 4

I still remember this concept and lovingly saved it on my computer back when you first posted it. I know we're all supposed to accept the new Rebels version, but I truly love seeing this concept of older Ahsoka and a matching older Barriss. They look fantastic and I really love how you embellished the details. Vibroblades instead of lightsabers? Very interesting and quite cool. It would certainly give them the edge of being ex-Jedi without all of the flash and attention.
I think I'll be geeking out over this for quite some time. This is a delicious addition to the Barrissoka group and my personal offline gallery. Thank you so much!

Great to see this in color. I still to this day prefer your version of Ahsoka over the Rebels version of Ahsoka. She seems determined, passionate and emotionally and intellectually strong.
