if you practice painting and apply the same concepts to digital painting or CG you will improve a lot. I'm not trying to preach or anything. lol cause I've found it to help significantly. the more I learned about painting with oils and maybe acrylics the more I understood digital painting. (I prefer digital Painting big time cause I have more control and I'm not wasting resources) BUT I still draw by hand cause I stay in practice. and It helps the digital painting as well.
