Hermione in a potions class. I just realized that she's not wearing a Prefect badge, so I s'pose this is around year 4? Even though originally I was going to say this was from year 5.... Oh well.

I really just wanted to draw this because I got into the mood to do it and Hermione is probably my favorite character from the series if I had to pick one. I'm still not completely satisfied with this; her hair is so dark compared to everything else because it's one of few things colored in, and I want to fix that... Thus I've dubbed it a work in progress. We'll see if I ever finish it.

OTHER REASON I WANT TO DRAW HERMIONE?
I'm all for artistic expression, and people can draw however they want, but I personally am usually never satisfied when searching for Hermione art, because people either a) make her too beautiful/sexy, b) make her look like Emma Watson (which is fine if it's movie fan art, but I do like seeing book fan art!), or c) don't understand what "bushy hair" means. Bushy does not mean sleek waves and curls. Her hair should be he hair is thick, curly, and puffy, not like some kind of runway model And thus for a very, very, very long time, I have been wanting to draw an accurate Hermione Granger, or at least draw her as I imagine her from the books.
