Sunflower Sundown

As the sun goes down behind the front range mountains of Denver, Colorado, the day is about to end. I just sat here totally in amazement, watching this scene completely unfold through my cameras lens. The colors changed almost by the second, from red, to orange, to pink, to blue, every second the light changed, requiring me to re-meter the scene. I think this may be one of the last places in Denver that has an unobstructed view of the whole front range. And the tall peak on the right is Longs Peak, in case any one was wondering, which resides in Rocky Mountain National Park, where I do many of my shots. I am sad to say that a few weeks ago I was out here to shoot again, only to find all the Sunflowers gone. Nothing at all....a big empty field. However, I am happy I was able to capture them while I could. Maybe next summer they will return, I can only hope so.

Hope you guys aren't sick of Sunflowers yet! Cuz I have a ton more to come lol
