Description
For these earrings I wanted to make something lightweight that combined natural and man-made elements. The shells are sustainably harvested, and I painted and lacquered them to give them an enduring gold color. Tiny bits of gold-colored wire are delicately worked around glass and metal beads and semiprecious stone chips. They are displayed here in an old clam shell.

Earrings are 48mm (2") overall.
