FULL VIEW PLEASE!My version of Spring.
I'm getting used to spending like 2-3 days coloring one drawing. I had hard time designing her a dress, because I wanted something detailed, while the dress itself doesn't suit Petra DX (more info about the character here ). Umbrella was the worst part, I hope it didn't turn out that bad as I think.
The trees in the background are birches. Flowers in the corners are poppies. I wanted to draw dandelions but they didn't suit dresses I designed.
I hope you like it.
If many of you don't, it would mean it's time to leave for me, because I put my whole heart into this drawing.
Dedicated for... Myself, lol.

Tools: Pencil sketch + photoshop lineart n colouring
Texture and some brushes found long time ago on deviantart, no links, sorry.

(& it's been years since the post, but i hope you don't still feel like you shouldn't continue if people don't like your work.. (i'm sure a lot of us do get moments like that, but one hopes they pass quickly..!) please definitely, absolutely, try not to let lack of popularity/popular opinion etc affect what you do because-you-love. )

Nice picture! I really like the colouring here. Great job with the layout of the image too - the background bring framed by flowers is a nice touch, and the character being separate makes it interesting to look at. Cool stuff.

wyglada swietnie.
zaczne od tla... bo bardzo dobrze dobralas jasnosc swiatla do pory roku i wogole.. maki nadaja caloksztaltowi radosci
przechodzac do samej Petry.. to wyglada swietnie.. sukienka jest borka, tekstury idealnie dobrane.... i wogole cieniowanie tez bardzo dobre (ale to nie tylko na sukience, na calej postaci tez)...

Slicznie wyszla, szczegolnie ze lubie Petre - tu jakby troszke starsza niz ostatnio. Sukienka extra (chyba wyjsciowa jak na nia). Poza fajna i trzeba bylo juz nie pisac o tym parasolu, bo sie zaczalem przygladac zeby sie doczepic. Tlo bajka...

Przez cieniowanie krawędzi płatków tych maków mam wrażenie, jakby wyginały się nie w tą stronę co trzeba XD Poza tym ok, ładna koronka w parasolce i sukienka ^^

Seriously, it's gorgeous! I love that dress, and even if its a bit too girlish for me, it's still beautiful! The background's fantastic - I don't think I'll ever be able to draw trees that well. Hah, I could never wrap my head around that~. But, I think that and the dress have to be my favorite parts - oh! Can't forget those eyes~ <33!
Also, I like the umbrella. I think it's a nice touch. And the flowers on the corners are beautiful, too~. Her pose is fantastic, as well - very cheerful looking, while her expression still hangs on to the calmness of Spring, as well. It's a perfect combination <3.
