Soo they are trying to manipulate Kiara, but it doesn't seem to be working...So a bit a reveal of the comic: there will be a second part to Nzuri's Pride after the comic ends. It'll run for another 20-25 pages until the "season finnish" A few major story lines will be closed in this first part still, so a lot of drama coming.

If their jealously and spite runs so deeply, Nyota is willing to try and manipulate his own mother, than begone with both of them. At least Nzuri went to his mother to explain things.

Kiara has absolutely no fault in this. They're a kingdom. It's pretty much expected to be betrothed. Simba and Nala were. It's lucky for both of them they grew up together for a bit and weren't complete strangers. Kiara was able to choose her love due to the circumstances and she was still betrayed. She's simply going by pride rules. Who knows who Kiara was betrothed to?
Nzuri broke up with Athene to at least try to make things right, but after hearing his father's betrayal, he simply just wants to be happy.
The sons are in a complicated place, and jealously just made everything worse. If they all just talked to each other maybe it wouldn't have been like this.
Also, it's pretty awful to expect someone to become like their parents. If you think Nzuri can cheat, so can Nyota.

Yes, they can cheat because there are no sanctions. Kovu cheated and what? Everyone took it calmly, gossips exist, yes but he is not punished.
So why not? He may cheat once again, and again.

Isnt she a Queen Regnant? Why can't she just get rid of the law allowing cheating and declaring cubs of the consorts legitimate heirs?
Bastards have always been illegitimate to remove tension and rivalry between main heirs and and their half-siblings.

I'm curious of what Chukia, would have said, if Nyota hadn't interrupted her. Perhaps she would have blamed Nzuri on the entire thing? Either way, both she and Nyota are little asshats for what they did. Either way, I'm glad that Kiara is smart buttt I'm curious of what type of drama is coming everyone's way.
