Description
The warmth of the sun, the chirping of birds, the pleasant smell of the park... That was the last Kara remembered before she started feeling dizzy and ultimately blacked out. And when she opened her eyes... She was no longer laying on the green, fresh grass. She has awoken to a completely different world.
Around her was a metal corridor, lit by rows of cold, white LED lamps. Compared to the warm outdoors, the metal interior was chilly. The lack of any features was striking - no windows, doors, even pipes or cables... Just a stretch of flat metal and regularly poised lights.
She rose up, feeling one more unpleasant surprise - her high heels were missing. Still remembering the grass between her toes, she winced upon touching the icy-cold surface.
"Hey!" she shouted, hoping to find another person in this weird place "Anyone in here? Help! Where am I?!"
No response. Trembling with fear, she took a careful step. This was... Outrageous!
"Let me out of here! Whoever did this to me, answer!"
Silence. The only thing that disturbed the perfect silence that fell was a barely audible vibration - a low one, like a working machinery's. It made the whole corridor tremble slightly, adding to the surrealism of the whole scene.
"I'll get you, you bastard!" She screamed on top of her lungs, mustering the courage to step forward, into the unknown.
She could have seen some flickering lights in the front - so she assumed it was the right direction to begin with. But before she could have approached them, an obstacle appeared.
A strip of strange, glistening liquid was streaching from one wall to another. Too wide to jump above, too suspicious to risk touching it with a bare foot. Kara took a glance back - but decided against turning. She must advance, there must be a way to get of of this nightmare...
She needed something to close the gap... Or at least narrow it... But the only thing she could think of was...
Reluctantly she zipped off her skirt, dropping it to the floor. Feeling her face get red from shame, she picked it up and threw the piece of clothing onto the strip. It adhered to the thick, glue-like liquid - but allower Kara to get closer to the other side and make the jump. The skirt sank a bit deeper when she stepped upon it - but all in all, she was safe on the other side, ready to approach the lights.
They turned out to be some kind of lit-up floor tiles - filling the space in front of her, switching between green, red and blue in a completely random fashion. Kara stopped for a while, trying to make out any pattern - in vain. But, taking common sense into account... Green usually means safety. If she had no idea what to do, that was the best bet avalible.
She regretted it the second she stepped on the green tile. Before she could have done anything - back off, jump to another one - she lost balance. Making a surprised glance downwards, she saw her foot expanding, stretching to cover other floortiles... The walls were also on the move - closing in... Or was that she growing?
Her toes first reached a blue tile in front of her. The feeling of increadible cold - worse than walking barefoot on ice - spread across her body, finally tripping her off. She fell forward, her hand first touching a red tile - which turned out to be burning hot. She tried to roll away - but her growing body only sped up with every green tile touched, soon filling up the whole avalible space. Finally, she lost consciousness, unable to find a way out of this madness.

She woke up ome time later, feeling the familliar, cold metal beneath her. Half aware, Kara sat up, trying to assess the situation. She was clad again - this time in an ankle-long skirt and a matching top. Behind her were some kind of a blastdoor, blocking the way. In front... Laid yet another LED-lit corridor. Will this never end?
She stood up and, without much hope, slowly walked forward. The only thing that kept her from just resigning was the faint hope that she'd get out of here... And make the one who put her in here pay. How on Earth anyone can have such a maze for?
Finally, she reached a crossroad. In front of her the corridor split into two separate ways - one lit by green lights, other by blue ones. Remembering the last time she put her faith in green, she took the blue path.
The corridor was short - and ended with a small room, barely larger than a locker. It had metal grid instead of floor, and in the blue glow she could have seen two lenses installed in the walls to her left and right. She took a step inside - wincing at her bare feet pressing against the grid - and heard the escape route close with a loud slam. A blastdoor - just like the one from a while ago - trapped her inside the tiny cell.
Shocked, she turned back, banged onto the barrier - but in vain. She was all alone - safe for two mysterious lenses, and...
There was a tiny marble on the floor, stuck between the metal grid. A tiny ball of glass, so unfitting to this place... Kara just couldn't help picking it up. Maybe it was the light... But the marble seemed to be emiting a glow of its own, almost as if calling out to her. She sat down, backs to the blastdoor, hypnotised by the marble, letting the time pass by.
It took her a while to get a hold of herself, to remind herself of how riddiculous her situation was. Hiding the marble in her pocket, she stood up. Looking at the lenses, she noticed there was a tiny button next to each of them. Angrily, she pushed the left one, swearing loudly.
A thin ray of light shot out of the lens, hitting her hand. She felt a cold sensation spread through her body... And to her horror, she saw her hand suddenly becoming transparent. In a blink of an eye, the transformation spread across her whole body - and she felt herself falling, slipping through the grid, descending into darkness below.
She tried screaming - but her body was simply no longer there, turned into a mass of water. She still felt herself racing through some pipes, pouring into containers, twirl and swirl like in some crazy rollercoaster - and finally she stopped, filling some dark space.
Having finally stopped, she tried to collect her thoughts. What the hell was that? How was that possible? Will this be the end? Inert and helpless, she felt a surge of panic arise. This was even worse then being trapped, this was...
Suddenly she felt herself slowly regain the feeling of having a body. Something hissed, she felt the wall behind her open - and she fell to the floor, soaked wet - but somehow solid and clad again!
This time she almost jumped up, gasping for air. How?!? How?!? No, she must wake up, this has to be a mad dream...
Looking around franticly, she noticed the corridor ended with a door - reinforced metal ones, but with a handle. She might be at the end of this maze! Finally!
She rushed to the exit - but the door were locked. Trying to locate some sort of key, control panel, whatever, she noticed one more oddity - a small table, with three glass bottles upon it. The were filled with some colourless liquid, and labeled "N", "A" and "S", going from left to right. Taking a step towards the table, she felt there were tiny grains of sand laying on the floor - a distinctive sensation after so many steps on cold, smooth metal.
She picked up the first bottle, uncorked it and took a sniff. The liquid inside was scentless as well - and it seemed to be the same in the other two bottles as well.
"Alice in Wonderland, huh?" she muttered angrily. Well, what could be worse than getting stuck in the corridor, then being turned into water? Smirking, she picked up the "A" bottle and emptied it in one gulp. There's got to be an "Eat Me" cake around, that was for granted, considering all that had happened so far.
A sore taste spread across her mouth and throat, filling all the way up to stomach. It was so disgusting... It made her feel dizzy again, but in a different way... In a different, disturbing way...
She felt her body contract this time - but not just size was changing. She saw her arms ger thinner, her vision blurry... What was happening this time?!
In a matter of few seconds, Kara's new body - six-limbed, small and black - fell to the floor. The ant circled around panicked, stumblng upon its own legs - until it finally managed to gain stability. Inside, panicking Kara tried to get a hold of this development - but in vain. The world was too much overwhelming, too much alien at this perspective... Will this ever end?!
She looked around, desperately trying to find a place to hide, to come up with a plan... But randomly scattered grains of sand were the only objects in sight. No "Eat Me" cake, no reverse potion... Could this really be the end? And if "A" stood for an ant... Then "S"... Oh gosh...
Behind her, near the place Kara "slipped" out of her watery prison, a tiny figure emerged from a microscopic hole in the wall. After a second, the shrinkee got restored to her previous size - and completely terrified, the newcoming girl ran towards the exit in a desperate dash for freedom...
