This is fantastic. Effective scaling and perspective (warstriders vs lone combatants vs battle groups/formations), evocative use of color to help the viewer identify supernatural heritage, and the sense of urgency imparted by the TFD makes the scene feel chaotic and the outcome uncertain.

I GM as well but have no where near your artistic ability. I think its awesome you're able to creating something that really shows the scale that the heroes are often operating at. Glad the Exalted community has so many devoted and talented artists such as yourself to help flesh out the world.

A very stylized exalted battle. Of course it’s very “simple” and quite close to vector art for some parts… I’m an humble amateur after all ^^
But I wanted to bring at the maximum the kind of scale of the RPG, even at its basis or core (the characters, PCs and NPs are just a bit experienced).
Again at Selenade, with the secrets of the lunar manse uncovered by the abyssal circle of the Deathlord Walker in Darkness. So, an alliance between lunars, solars, a few dragon-blooded (including a minor gens from Lookshy), thanks to the hard work of one sideral of the Gold Faction to unite all of them again the common enemy.
And no, at this level of power, I don’t bring a Deathlord, otherwise, the courageous heroes are slaughtered! Even if Jaguar Magnificent, a lunar from the end of the First Age (basically exalted during the Usurpation), leads the Silver Pack here.
Yes, I like numbers, I like epicness, I like battles where thousands are opposed among a few outstanding heroes of enormous power. So here, that’s what I emphasized. In all, there are 4 solars, 1 sideral (obviously of battles) 5 lunars, 2 dragon-blooded and 6 abyssals.
And yes, one Thousand Forged Dragon coming out the lake of blood (plus 4 warstriders of royal class). The rest are mortals, hungry ghosts, undead, various war machines and war golems, so basically extras!
Never underestimate the fun for one player or GM to present one character annihilating an army (at least a part of an army, so bring armies, not divide an army in small regiments!) only by himself, in an instant or a few hours.
I tried to be as “cinematic” as possible, with battlefields such as in Gladiator, Alexander, or the ones presented by Peter Jackson.
