Thank you very much, Glad you like it!
Hmm, I usually splash out colors, to make good combinations and then I work out the details,
or sometimes I make details separately and take them into the main picture and put them with transparency or as an overlay on the background color.
Hope that helps Β

For me it is mostly about experimenting.. I can see some cool color combination in some picture or in nature and use something similar to experiment with. That is the cool thing about working with layers. It does not matter if it does not work out, you can just delete the layer and try again.

Yes I have grown to love using photoshop with layers before I thought I would be traditional forever but both of them have cool qualities about them. I really need to start experimenting with colors like you it just seems so hard but it is definitely one of my weaknesses ^^

I only made drawings in black and white growing up.. Pencil, charcoal and ink drawings..Β Then I had a break from drawing for many years and I started drawing again, and using colors about 2 years ago.
I learned digital painting in Photoshop, but I found a much more affordable program in Clip Studio Paint Pro recently, also called Manga Studio 5 I think.. It has some nice features that Photoshop does not have, or I did not know how to do it in Photoshop anyway.. and of course it is missing all that extra stuff Photoshop has, that you never want to use lol. I can highly recommend it. It is better for getting into digital painting in my opinion and you can get it for 15 euros on sale sometimes, which is crazy value for money..

Lol yeah.. I put the female weaponry to use in this one..
There are probably a 1000 things I could improve on, like the scripture, but for now i will leave it alone, since I have stared myself blind on it over the past two days, and I am currently sketching up a witch.
Thanks for the input, I really appreciate that you took the time and I am glad you liked the picture!

Well, sorry then I forgot to put some more weight on the compliment, I'll catch up on that now by collecting it.
