Another drawing of Szinthrae. This drow of mine will NOT get out of my head!I drew this tonight while I was at a D&D game. I should really be sleeping too, since I leave for my trip in the morning, but I seem to have creative insomnia. When I have an idea to draw, it just won't let me rest very well until I complete it.

Also, when you respond to something someone else has said, I don't ever get the notification for it. So even though you told me what was wrong with the hand 2 days ago, I never got the message until now, having just glanced underneath my drawing.
I wish you would have told me sooner, in our IM when I showed you the drawing.

My first thought was,"Gawd I wanna Dance with him..." he looks very Elegant and a little cocky XD he just looks like he knows what he's doing and knows he's fine as anything ^.~ I love the Spiders in the Details like on the Boots ect. It makes me think of him as a little spider spinning a web as he dances ^^(Yes that Sounds a little Cheesy.Silly Me)

As far as how I do it: I usually come up with an idea in my head by looking through magazines/books/whatever and seeing a pose that looks particularly appealing. This one I pretty much made up (which is why I think it looks a tad bit awkward) except for the legs. A guy was leaning against a wall with this dramatic pose to his legs and swish of his hips and I thought, 'If I use his hips and legs as reference and bring his arms up into a dance pose like that, it might look cool! Then it's just sketching away lightly until I get the overall look/pose I want. After that I usually erase my under-sketch and frame lines and draw over it using a more pronounced steady line. Sometimes I have to start over completely because I mess up on the under-sketch so much that erasing it still leaves a ghost.

His top hand still looks a bit wonky to me for some reason, but I decided to just live with it, instead of fussing over it.

yeah it looks a little weird but I'm not sure if it's honestly "off" or just that strange twist of the wrist because that always looks weird and awkward even in direct reference photos
