ahh but guinea pigs are way more relaxed than other rodents they make a good introdution for people who do not like rodents! they are a bit like bunnies.

He hasn't been a huge fan of bunnies either. We've had some trouble with mice in the floor air ducts here and it really freaks him out. I think they're cute, but they keep pooping where they shouldn't.

ahh, guinea pigs, at least to me, came in different personalities always.Some of them are respectful and of have shaem,so the ask to return to their home to go to the bathroom. but there are other that like to "joke" or just do not care and poop anywhere. 
even in their cages,some of the poop everywere while others (very rare) just do it in the same corner all the time. 
i read that they can be trained to do that. i just showed my guineapig how to return to its cage a couple of times and she did it alone allright since then. they love their cages! <3 she also responds to her name(if interested,because she also loves to play "ha!you can´t catch me" sometimes during floor time ) i never had bunnies,but all tha tothers told me...they are a bit evil and or mischievous
