April, 16 yrs: She is into science(biology, zoology, and chemistry but hasn't picked her favorite yet). She's a bit reclusive and doesn't have many friends. But she meets and befriends the turtles after the Kraang abduct her father. She becomes closest with Donnie due to shared interests. She begins to develop mysterious psychic abilities and Splinter teaches her to keep it under control through meditation. She mostly has to teach herself how to use it though.
I put more emphasis in her scientific interests so she could relate with Donnie and make the relationship 2k12 attempted less awkward. In Mirage and 03 she was a computer programmer and briefly Baxter Stockman's assistant. I had her go into a different science field so she couldn't really fill Donnie's role on the team, but still help relieve some of the pressure he always seems to be under. Since Psychic abilities is 2k12's unique feature, I want to focus more on developing that rather than ninja fighting skills.

June, 21 yrs: April's older sister. She's a journalist and reporter, her dream job is to be an investigator. She likes to be very hands on in her investigations and can be reckless. She's also dating Casey's older brother, CJ. April worries that June will expose the turtles if she discovers them, but it's also difficult to keep it secret.
Designed to look similar to 03 April, but given blonde hair to reference some 2k12 concept art. April has a sister named Robyn in some versions of canon. But her name was originally going to be June, and I liked the month theming. June is a reporter/journalist to reference the 80s show. The mentioned antique shop was April's in 03.

Robyn. April and June's mother. She owned an antique shop before she recently passed away from cancer(which she developed as a side effect of Kraang experimentation she had suffered as a child). June has taken over the shop since then.
Augustus "Augie" Kirby O'Neil, late 40s: He's a prominent biologist with a focus in genetics. He is especially interested in studying cancer treatments. The Kraang abduct him because they want to mutate earth to be more habitable for them, but are struggling with it. They're hoping that forcing a biologist to help will improve their efforts.
In 2003, Augie is the name of April's uncle, but I gave it to Mr for the month theme and pushed Kirby to his middle name. I named Mrs Robyn to still make use of that name. I gave Mrs and hairstyle similar to 80s April. I couldn't justify a yellow jumpsuit, so I gave her a button up shirt instead.
