Description
Kid pauses, frowning at the food. "I suck at cooking..." He mutters, turning off the burners and going to peer into your room, making sure you were still asleep before slipping out of the apartment quickly.
You yawn lightly, sitting up on the bed and patting the spot next to you. The bed was empty and you figured that Law had probably had to leave a while ago for work. Sliding off the edge of the bed, you walk into the living room. "Good morning!" You call wondering who was still around. Skull comes over to greet you, licking your cheek with a light rumble. You pat the dog on the head with a small smile. "Just you and me?" You blink realizing your speech had gotten a little better making your smile widen even more. He rumbles again, sniffing to the burnt food on the stove pointedly. You look at the food, tilting your head. "Well, I guess that wasn't Killer. Did Kid go get breakfast?" He nods and yawns just before the door opens and Kid comes in with some breakfast bags. He blinks at you and frowns.
"I should’ve known you'd wake up..." He sighs. You smile up at him, giving him a shrug.
"What did you got for breakfast?" He blinks again and smiles, setting the bags on the table.
"Your speech is good. Won't be long now." He rumbles, picking you up and placing you on a chair. "I got a lot of breakfast biscuits."
"Good. I'm tired of being small." You tell him. "Yay biscuits!" He sits beside you, giving you some food before starting to eat as well.
"Maybe I should grab some of your clothes just in case..." He mutters. You look up from your food nodding.
"That's a good idea. I rather not walk around naked."
He blushes lightly. "That would be awkward." He says. "After you get done eating go pick out what you'll want, I'll pack the rest of what we'll need today."
"Okay!" You hum, finishing what was on your plate and sliding from your chair. "Let's go see." Skull licks your cheek before following you to your room while Kid starts to pack what else was needed today. You pull open a few drawers, grabbing an outfit for yourself for if you did actually end up getting big again. You set that on the floor by the door, grabbing another outfit to change into for the day and changing quickly. "Okay! Ready!" Kid comes in, packing the outfit.
"Alright, I'm going to let you ride on Skull's back so hold onto his spikes okay?" He says before placing you on the hellhound's back. Your eyes widen before you nod quickly.
"Okay. This be fun!" You smile, patting skull in the back before grabbing the spikes like Kid had told you to.
"Alright, let's take a walk." He breathes going to the door and knocking on it. Sparks come off of it before he opens the door and steps into a long dark hall.
"Neat." You say quietly in response to the door before looking around the hallway. "So is this part of what you do?" You question, looking up at him.
"Yeah," He answers, starting down the hall. "This is the safest thing I have to do. The rest would be too much for you right now."
"Oh." You nod in understanding looking at yourself with a small huff. "Need to grow up soon..." You mutter before looking at Kid again. "What other sorta stuff do you do?"
"Battle training, torturing, weapon testing..." He lists off.
"That sounds like a lot of fun." You say with a bright smile.
"I guess..." He shrugs before peering at you quietly.
"I think so." You tell him, tilting your head a little. "What on your mind?"
"Just wondering what will happen after your big again." He looks away, pink dusting his cheeks. You stare at him before shrugging.
"Who knows. I'm probably gonna have to work like everyone else."
"I mean besides work." He grumbles. You blink at him.
"I dunno that either. I didn't really have any plans..."
"So no one has..." He trails off before peering at you. "Then... I'll take you out for dinner once you're big again."
"Okay!" You smile. "That sounds like it would be nice!"
"Glad you think.." He trails off again looking ahead. "That door shouldn't be open..." He mutters, going ahead and signaling Skull to get closer to his side. The hellhound lowers his head, ears perked ahead.
"What's in that door?" You question, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Something bad?"
"It leads to one of the restricted portals..." He answers, stopping at the door and looking it over carefully before closing it and pulling out his cell phone, sending a quick text. "We'll keep going."
"You sure?" You ask with a small frown.
"Yeah, a guard will come by and inspect it, they're trained to follow auras... Don't you want to go back?" He asks you carefully, stopping. "We can find something else to do." You shake your head.
"I am having a good time. I don't wanna go back."
"Alright." He touches your head before continuing down the hall with Skull close to his leg, sniffing heavily. You hum quietly, looking around the hallway. A question comes to mind and you look up at Kid.
"Why is that portal restricted?"
"There are heaven gates near it. Leaving it open might let an angel slip in and destroy the weaker demons." He responds. "And sometimes baby demons." You frown.
"I didn't know angels were so...cruel." You huff. "Thought they were supposed to be nice and fluffy and cute."
"That’s how humans romanticize them, but no, they're colder than reapers, and to them, demons are pests that should not exist." He tilts his head. "Though, they're probably different towards humans."
"Oh, I see." You hum with a small nod. "It makes sense. I mean humans make demons out to seem terrifying and cruel..."
"Yep. But we're cooler... Just... A bit messed up sometimes." He shrugs slightly
"That what I like about you guys." You laugh, looking up at him again. "Just messed up enough to keep my from getting bored." He chuckles lightly, looking down at you before stopping and crouching beside Skull.
"Yeah, I’m glad for that." He breathes thoughtfully, knuckles lightly touching your cheek. "I wouldn't have a reason to happy otherwise." You blink at him in shock before smiling again.
"I'm glad that I can give you a reason to be happy." He pauses and blushes covering his face.
"Ah... Why did I say that out loud..?" He grumbles embarrassed. You giggle, patting his hand.
"It's okay. It makes me happy to know that." He sighs and drops his hands.
"This stays between us." He pokes your nose. You rub your nose, nodding.
"If you say so." You laugh. "I won't tell anyone."
"Good.." He huffs continuing on. Skull rumbles at that. "Shut it Skull..."You lean forward, patting Skull on the head lightly.
"You're a good dog." Skull pivots at that, making an odd cackling sound.
"He’s a pain in the neck if you ask me." Kid comments. Skull suddenly stops, fur raising as a demonic snarl escapes him, making Kid freeze. You jump a little, frowning at the snarl.
"Everything okay?" You ask Skull before looking up at Kid worriedly. Kid draws his sword, glaring ahead as black mist consumes the hall before you.
Get her away from her." He orders lowly and Skull bucks you off his back, picking you up by the back of your outfit and dashing back down the hall. He doesn't get far, as something kicks him into the wall making him yelp and drop you. You look up at the tar skinned demon as it's red eyes lock on you with a wicked grin.
"Kill!" A crazed chirp leaves it. You look up at the demon scrambling to your feet to try and run away from it. You weren't sure which direction to go though, having gotten mixed up with which way to go when Skull had dropped you. Looking either way, you take off to the left as fast as you could. Making it around a corner you squeak when you see Kid, realizing you had run in the wrong direction.
"Oh no..."
"Kill!" The chirp sounds behind you again but the demon is taken down by Skull who was snarling loudly and tearing at him. Kid looks back at you, eyes glowing.
"Run!-Keh!!" He gasps one of the demons' claws rake into his side. He knocks them back with a growl, blood pooling down his side. "Dammit..." He manages sword barely stopping their next attack. You stare in shock for a few seconds at the blood dripping down Kid's side. Anger courses through you when it starts to pool underneath him, making you shake.
"Don't...hurt...Kid!" You shout, your pupils slitting as a burst of power leaves you. Darkness wraps around you for a few seconds before leaving you standing in the hallway completely naked, but now fully grown. "It's about damn time." You mutter through clenched teeth, trying to remember what the gun Law had bought for you looked like before it appears in your hand. You raise the gun, shooting down the demon that had attacked Kid, emptying more than enough rounds into its head. When it falls down, you drop the gun back to your side, turning to look behind you at the dismembered demon that had been chasing you. "I guess that one is taken care of..." Kid focuses on dismembering the other two before covering his eyes and holding up his backpack to you.
"Clothes!" He says swiftly with a heavy blush. You look down at yourself before blushing slightly and taking the backpack from him.
"Right..." Taking the outfit you had picked from the bag, you put it on quickly, sighing in relief once you had gotten fully dressed again. Looking at your hands you smile widely, throwing them both in the air. "Finally! I'm back!" You shout happily. Kid peers at you.
"Yeah, that's less... Nerve-wracking... You okay Skull?" He goes over to look at the hellhound closely. The hellhound huffs lowly. "Yeah, those bastards were quick..." He pats his shoulder. You turn, going over to crouch next to Skull, patting him on the head.
"Thank you for taking care of that one." You tell him with a small smile. He licks your cheek with a tail wag and Kid straightens.
"Alright, let's finish this perimeter walk. They couldn't have been strong enough to open the door alone." You stand again, looking at Kid. Nodding slightly, you follow after him, stuffing your hands in your pockets.
"You think there are more of them around here close by?"
"That and a strong rogue that thinks he can force his way back in." He nods, "If we find him, we have to eliminate him."
"Okay." You nod, following behind him quietly. Skull looks from Kid to you before turning and lowering his head, making you trip into Kid who turns swiftly and catches your waist.
"Are you alright?" You squeak in surprise, looking up at Kid and giving him a stiff nod.
"Yeah, all good. Thanks for catching me..."
"No problem, you sure you're ready to fight." He helps you straighten up, frowning lightly in concern.
"I'm sure I'll figure it out." You say, smiling up at him. "Don't worry." He smiles a bit at that, tipping your chin briefly.
"I know you will.”
“Yeah.” You look up at him, blushing a little as you put a little more space between the two of you. Being so close had reminded you of just how good looking he had turned out. Not that you had thought he wouldn’t, he was just the only one that you hadn’t actually spent time with without either of you being dead, or toddler sized and at all of those times, you had been more worried about other things than paying attention to what he looked like.
"What?" He frowns more, "Something on my face?”
"N-no nothing." You manage, scratching the back of your neck. "We should keep going right?" He nods before hurrying on, Skull nudges you before moving to Kid's side with a low rumble.
"What are you chuckling at now?" Kid huffs to the hellhound. You shake yourself from your slight daze, following behind the two again. Out of all the demons that you had hung around with, he was the only one to elicit that sort of reaction from his closeness. You huff, furrowing your eyebrows as you watch his back. He straightens as a pulse comes from ahead. "Alright Skull, sick him." Kid says, drawing his sword. Skull takes off ahead at that. "If you get overwhelmed call me, I'll be by your side in an instant." He says, looking you in the eye briefly before rushing ahead as a surprised howl sounds. You blink after him, pulling the gun from the holster at your side taking off to follow him. From a connecting hallway, you hear a loud whirring noise, causing you to look down the hallway just as a demon, similar in appearance to the once that had attacked you before lunged at you.
“Woah hey!” You shout, dodging his first attack jumping to the side. “Why are you so angry?” Frowning you lift the gun, shooting it in the head and letting it fall to the ground. Looking over you see Kid and Skull tag teaming a large demon, his skin wasn’t tar-like, but his eyes still glowed with that crazed red gleam. The smaller demons leap and slash at Kid's and his hellhound's backs, cackling wildly. Your anger spikes again, and your teleport yourself behind Kid, taking down some of the smaller demons so Kid could focus on the bigger one. “Ya jerks!”
"Kill! Kill!" They chatter. Kid’s tail sweeps you to the side as he dodges the demon’s claws, slashing up a few of the lesser demons. Kid's tail releases you as he slashes off the demon’s arm making it cry out. You stumble, regaining your footing. Looking around you start to shoot at some of the smaller ones again, not sure that you'd be much help to Kid with the bigger one.
"What the hell is up with that one?!" You shout.
"He's a rogue, ate too many souls and now he's bat shit crazy." Kid answers just as howls fill the hall. "And now he's not our problem." Kid smirks as a pack of hellhounds appear, leaping on the tar demons and the rogue. Kid pulls you into his side, looking over as soldier demons appear, looking as bloodthirsty as the rogue and even more fierce.
"We have this." One informs Kid, not giving you a single glance.
"Well then..." You huff relaxing a little as you watch them tear apart the large rogue demon. "See I told you today wouldn't be boring."
"Yeah," He smirks a bit, looking at you, "You were right of course.... Anyway, I feel we should get you another gun.... Want to go browse hell's weapons?" You look up at him wide eyed before nodding.
"That sounds like a lot of fun." He gives a big smile at that.
"You're going to really enjoy this." He rumbles. Skull comes over, nudging your hand.
"Most likely yes." You hum, looking down at Skull and scratching the top of his head with a small smile. "Heh, you're in a good mood huh?"
"He likes fighting the most." Kid pats Skull's head as well before nudging you with his shoulder and leading you to an elevator door further down the hall. You follow after him, getting into the elevator with him and leaning against the back wall. Kid presses a button before turning to you. "You did good, barely back an hour and already kicking ass." He rumbles with a smile. You grin.
"Oh of course. What else would I be doing? Can't waste any time doing nothing. Gotta jump right into the fun stuff." He chuckles lightly, peering at Skull.
"I'm glad you're back, I didn't know what to do with a mini ___...." He rubs his neck. You chuckle, leaning your head back against the wall of the elevator.
"Sounds sorta like me when I got all of you guys. Hell before then me and children didn't get along very well. Too unpredictable and fragile."
"Exactly... I didn’t want to hurt you... The hell pups are less fragile, but even then I sometimes forget..." You give him a small smile shaking your head.
"I don't really think you could hurt me. You were really aware of trying to be cautious around me ever since you saved me from that reaper." He blinks and pauses, blushing lightly,
"Ah... Right, that is obvious..." He mutters, looking to the side. Skull huffs at Kid and the redhead frowns at him. "That's not it..." He grumbles. You tilt your head a little, raising an eyebrow at the redhead.
"What's not it?"
"Oh... Nothing..." He blushes lightly and the elevator stops. "Alright, welcome to, weapons division." He looks over with a smile as the doors open to a giant room filled with weapon racks. You could feel the energy pouring from the room. You stare through the doors of the elevator, eyes wide, momentarily forgetting about your conversation with Kid. A wide array of weaponry filled the room to the brim. Knives, guns, swords, and even things you didn't have a name for lined the walls and racks in the room leaving you stunned speechless. He smiles lightly, carefully taking your hand and leading you off the elevator before the doors closed. He lets go of your hand, looking around.
"Yeah. It took me a bit to take in too." He breathes thoughtfully. You blink at him when he lets go of your hand, caught off guard by how much you had wish he hadn't. Shaking it off you smile at him.
"Right? One of my favorite places... Where do you want to start? If you see anything you like, I can get it for you." He rumbles with a smile. You hum to yourself, looking around the room.
"Guns or small knives. I can work with either." You tell him, not really sure where to begin looking in the massive room.
"Alright, let’s start with blades then, come on, and stay close, some like to test the weight and might get carried away." He breathes touching your arm briefly.
"Oh, okay." You nod, looking at his hand before taking it in your own. "Can't get too far away like this right?"He freezes, blush exploding onto his face.
"Y-Yeah..." He manages rather quietly as he holds your hand and continues to guide you, pink sticking to his face. You chuckle lightly, following him through the room with a small smile on your face.
"Here we are." He says when you reach the knives together, his eyes already trailing over them with a slight smile. You watch Kids face, smiling at his expression as he looked over the knives laid across the table. Almost like a child with candy. It was cute. After a few seconds, you shift your gaze to the table, eyes trailing over a few of the smaller knives on the table.
"There's so many..."
"Yeah, this whole aisle is just knives. There's some that can inject poison or drugs into someone. And others that you can make dual blades with, and...." He starts to ramble slightly, starting to point to each, head tilting toward yours. You look up at him again, smiling as he rambles on about the knives. God that was cute.
"I just like the little ones that I can use for multiple things, but poison also sounds interesting." He blinks back.
"Oh right.. There are some good ones over here," He says, leading you to a number of beautiful and clearly deadly knives sat. "We can come back here if you can't decide on a knife or a gun... We can get both... Or one of everything." He looks around thoughtfully. You look over the knives with a smile.
"One of everything hmm? And where exactly would I put all of it?" You chuckle, eyes roaming over the table before the fall on a set of three red and black throwing knives. Their design was rigid but looked incredibly lethal.
"We can make room... I really like the idea of expanding your place... There are a lot of demons in there, we're going to need more space." He points out, "Maybe just have a room for weapons. I-I mean... It's up to you it's your place, I just, you know...." He looks down self-consciously. You smile up at him, tipping his chin a little so he'd look at you.
"I think adding more room would be a great idea. I'd like to have a weapon room too. I think it would be nice. And having everyone live with me is a little cramped so expanding the place would be nice." He meets your gaze, pink dusting his cheeks.
"Alright, then we'll do that once we get home tonight. There's still a place I want to take you after this, and in the morning you'll go to your work." He smiles.
"Right. I wonder what I'll be doing..." You hum, trailing off in thought about the different jobs you had seen. And you guessed there were probably a lot more that you hadn't. He watches you for a bit, frowning lightly.
"Whatever it is. Just be careful..." He sighs softly.
"I will be." You smile. "Don't worry too much." Looking back at the knives you had spotted, you point at them. "Also, I like those."
"Then they're yours." He smiles, grabbing them for you. "Go ahead and lead the way, maybe you'll find something you like."
"You're going to spoil me." You hum, walking through the aisles of weapons pointing out random items that you found interesting. Coming to the wall of guns, your eyes widen, not really sure where to start again. "Which do you recommend?" You question, looking up at Kid again.
He gives that childlike smile.
"Alright, they have double barrel magnums, pistols that you can use underwater, ones with built-in silencers... I am not much help am I?" He gives a sheepish chuckle.
"So much help." You laugh, looking over the guns again and pointing between two that you had narrowed it down to. "One of those. Either is okay with me." You tell him.
"Both it is." He hums grabbing them, "Anything else?" He inquires lightly. You look around, shaking your head.
"Not right now. I'm sure we can come back if I ever need or want anything else."
"Alright," He smiles going to a desk placing the weapons in a secure basket before giving it to Skull. "Go home, buddy." He breathes and the hellhound heads off. "Alright, let's get lunch, and then... There's one other place, but don't tell anyone."
"I won't tell a soul." You grin up at him. "Where do you want to get lunch? Did you have a place in mind?"
"I do, it’s near my... Other job... Good sandwiches." He looks to the side before starting back toward the elevator.
"Sandwiches sounds great!" You hum, smiling up at him. "Lead the way." Thinking over what else he said, you look up at him curiously. "Other job? What else do you do?" He avoids your eyes with a blush.
"I sorta fell into it..." He shrugs slightly. "You'll see..." He rubs his neck.
"Oh, well I can't wait. I'm sure whatever it is, is amazing." You hum. "Come on! I'm excited now. Let's go get lunch so you can show me this second job of yours." He nods looking down with a light blush.
"Um... Alright." He knocks on the elevator doors making sparks come off it again before it opens to show a rather cute big town street. He steps out, carefully pulling you along and looking down the sidewalks, it wasn't crowded, rather calm.
"This is nice." You say, looking around the town. "Where are we exactly?"
"No idea, I just bought a place here to store metal." He offers a shrug, leading you into a cafe.
"Oh. I see." You nod, going into the cafe with him. It was nice and cozy. You lean against Kid with a content hum, looking around the small cafe. He peers at your face and smiles a bit, leading you to the counter to order some food for you both. You look over the menu above the counter with a quiet hum.
"Just get me whatever you're getting. I'm sure I'll like it." He gives a slight nod before ordering for both of you and paying before taking you to a corner table and sitting down. You rest your chin in your palm, watching him quietly.
"So, what ended up happening? After Mihawk came and got you that is?"
"I... Was put back in the cells and two days later I finally changed." He offers a shrug, looking to the side. You frown a little looking down at the table.
"I'm sorry that happened..."
"It's not your fault... I'm just glad you didn't get hurt... And it was nice to have someone try and protect me from that." He shrugs looking down.
“Even if you say that, I still wish I could have done more to keep you there.” You huff, “I don’t like the idea that you had to sit in a cell for two days…”
"... Well, I'm out now," He gives a smile as your food is brought over. "I hope you like it."
"I'm sure I will." You tell him with a smile, starting to eat the sandwich he had picked for you. He eats as well, looking across the street at an amazing metal art store, the columns holding up the overhang were covered with braided metal. You follow his gaze, tilting your head a little. "That's a pretty little place."
"Think so?" He peers at you briefly before looking back to the shop. "It’s new here.''
"Mhmm. I like it." You tell him, staring at the outside of the building while you finished your food. He finishes eating and gets up.
"Wanna go check it out?" He asks.
"Yeah, that could be fun." You nod, pushing your tray away once you're done with your food. He leads you out and into the shop, various works of art metal sat everywhere. Flowers, animals, hellhounds, and many variations of a woman. Looking around, you blink in surprise, starting to weave through the different pieces of art eyes lingering here and there. There were so many different things, each tugging at different memories of the past few weeks. “They are beautiful…” You trail off your eyes falling on one in particular. “Is…is that me?” You ask, turning towards Kid with a raised eyebrow. He blushes and avoids your gaze.
"Surprise...?" He manages.
"You did all this?" You ask, your eyes widening. "It's all so beautiful."
"Yeah... I started with the flowers... Because you liked the one I made you, then I started making more things since I couldn't go see you. Then one day, some guy walked in and asked how much one of the hellhounds were so I sold it to him. Then more people started to show up to buy..." He trails off with a shrug. "I.... Hope you don't mind but I had to use your name..." He rubs his neck.
"I...no...I don't mind." You say, still in shock as your eyes wander the different pieces of art that resembled you. "This is how you see me hmm?" You ask running your fingers over the metal of the one closest to you. Kid looks at you for a few moments, shoulders drooping slightly,
"W-Well... They have your beauty, but not your warmth..." He looks over the same piece. "They'll never compare to you."
"I think they're wonderful." You hum, turning your gaze to Kid. Watching him for a few seconds, you get lost in your thoughts, your brain scrambling for an answer to what exactly it was that you were feeling seeing everything around you. Adding in all your other feelings of the day spent with Kid, you sigh looking at the piece again. "I think..." Turning you walk over to Kid, pulling him down by his collar into a kiss. His face explodes with a shade of red that nearly resembles his hair. He clumsily kisses you back. You pull back, chewing on your lip. "Sorry, that was a little out of nowhere and...oh hell...I uh...You're..." You stutter trying to pull your thoughts together to form an explanation to what you had just done. He blinks at you, in a stunned daze.
"What... What was that for?" He manages. You scratch the back of your neck.
"I uh...I was pretty sure I had feelings for you...and I wanted to uh...test that theory..." He stares at you for a few moments before the cutest grin spreads across his lips.
"Really? Were you right?" He asks. You smile a little at the look on his face giving him a small shrug.
"I dunnoooo. Mayyyybe." He frowns at that, shoulders drooping and dropping his gaze.
"Yeah... I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. I am a soldier..." He murmurs, mostly to himself. You shake your head at him, hooking a finger under his chin and tilt your head to look him in the eye.
"Don't be so hard on yourself. I was only messing with you." You say, running a thumb over his chin. "Of course I was right." Relief flashes over your face.
"Don’t do that to me." He grumbles, tickling you as pay back. You giggle, trying to get away.
"Hey! No tickling!" You say in between laughter. He chuckles and kisses your cheek, pulling you into a warm hug.
"Thank you..." You wrap your arms around him a happy smile on your face.
"Why are you thanking me?"
"For letting me be happy." He breathes.
"If you're happy, I'm happy." You hum, looking up at him. "So it's a win-win right." He chuckles thoughtfully, meeting your gaze before pulling away.
"I guess we should head back now so you can relax before work."
"Hmm probably. I'm sure everyone will be happy to see me back to normal again." You say. "Still curious as to what I will be doing..."
"Me too," He smiles, "Hopefully we can still get to see each other a lot." He comments leading you to the back door and opening it to show your apartment.
"I'm sure we will." You smile, walking into your apartment. "I will make time to see you."
"Alright then-"
"___! You're big again!" Luffy crashes into you cheerfully. Ace swiftly does the same, moving to kiss you but Kid covers his mouth. Sabo pauses, blinking at you.
"You're beautiful..." He breathes.
"Nice to see you guys too." You laugh, giving Sabo a small smile. "That's right, you never met me before I turned all small and what not. Thank you." He offers a shy nod, and Killer, Zoro, as well as Law, come over to greet you. They all give you a hug, Law kissing your cheek affectionately.
"This calls for a celebration! Let’s go to Sanji's for dinner!" Ace rumbles.
You laugh, untangling yourself from everyone's hugs. “That sounds nice.” You smile brightly, happy to be back and surrounded by everyone. A little while later you find yourself sitting in between Kid and Killer, a happy smile on your face as everyone talked excitedly around the table. Sanji had made a wonderful dinner in celebration. It was fun being with everyone now that you were back to normal. After dinner, you thank Sanji for the food, the blond telling you to return at any time and he’d make sure to make you the best food possible.
You smile as you step into your apartment again with everyone. It didn’t take too long for a good portion of them to pass out on the couch or in their beds, everyone had seemed to have a good time ending up wearing themselves out. You yawn, taking Kid’s hand. “Well, I’m off to bed, seeing as I’ll end up doing...something or another tomorrow.” You tell the ones that were still awake, pulling Kid with you. “Goodnight, everyone.” You hear a chorus of goodnights from behind you, going into your room and collapsing onto your bed. You pull Kid down next to you with a happy smile, curling up against his side. “Goodnight Kid.” You hum, kissing his chin and cuddling into his side.
“Goodnight _____.” He says, kissing the top of your head.
The next morning when you wake up, Kid was still in your bed, his arm thrown over your side. You smile, sitting up and moving his arm off you slowly so you wouldn’t wake him. You yawn, going into the bathroom to change before going to the kitchen, only partially surprised to find Shanks digging around in one of the cabinets. “Well good morning to you too.” You tell him, sliding past him to find something to drink. He pauses and looks over, giving you a bright smile.
"Good morning beautiful!" He greets, pulling down a box of little cake snacks. "Today is going to be a big day! Cake?" He offers with his childish grin.
"Cake sounds good." You nod, catching one when he tosses it to you. "Big day hmm? So..." You hop up on the counter, crossing your legs and opening the snack cake, taking a bite. "What am I doing?" He chuckles thoughtfully.
"You're a deal maker! People are drawn to you so this’ll be an easy job." He smiles, starting to eat a cake. "You'll be able to contract so many souls."
"Oh, so Mihawk was right. I'll be doing what Law does." You hum, taking another bit of your cake. "Interesting..."
"Yeah, I'll show you how to do a few and then you can take over. After five souls you can go home early." He tells you cheerfully.
"Sounds like fun." You smile finishing your small breakfast and sliding from the counter to throw the packaging in the trash. He does the same, but still keeps the box of cakes with him, checking his phone.
"See this app? You'll be using this to get notifications to deal summons. Then, you press this and..." He leans on you and you're both suddenly in a basement type of room, standing on a summoner circle.
"It... Worked..." A young man breathes in awe, staring up at you both. Shanks blinks since the man's gaze was mostly on you.
"Actually. Go ahead and make your first deal." He whispers to you. You look at Shanks a little uncertain but try to wing it. You grin at the young man, crossing arms under your chest and taking a step towards him.
"So, what is it that you desire?" You ask the man, your voice a little sweeter than normal. He blinks, blushing briefly before shaking his head. "I need money! C-Can you make me rich?" He questions.
"Hmmm, I can. I just need something in return." You hum, tapping your lips. "You understand how to seal a deal correct?" He blinks, blushing again before puckering his lips to you. You chuckle, leaning forward to give him a swift kiss. You felt a slight rush of power, your pupils slitting as you pull away.
"Have fun with your new found riches." He nods in a daze and Shanks touches your shoulder, teleporting to an empty crossroads.
"I knew you were a natural." He praises. "I'm glad I found you. Welcome to the demon life ___." You chuckle.
"I'm glad you found me too. I'm quite enjoying it here."
"Good, because you're going to be here a long, long time."
