Description

Credit goes to the original creator of this map, FireDart, found here: rwby.wikia.com/wiki/User:FireD…

This map is relevant to chapters one through four of "Team WRBY" found here: knives4cash.deviantart.com/gal…

The Eastern landmasses are being ignored, because they will play no part in any chapter of this story.

The territory enclosed in red is controlled by Grimm, with the dragon-like landmass being named "Dragonia". Yellow indicates where Grimm are being combated, with thick lines representing hard-pressed conflicts and thin lines representing present but manageable zones of combat.

Blue represents the territory controlled by Vale. The West (to the west of the mountains) is the prized region of the kingdom, with all of the trade and commerce, as well as the hunting academies and institutions being located there. The large blue dot represents Beacon Academy. The West is heavily governed by the royal family and Queen Valens The Fourteenth. The East, otherwise known as "The Extended Territories" is a relatively independent group of agricultural and industrial districts that practically govern themselves. The most common sentences for convicted criminals to serve are mandatory military and agricultural service, depending on the nature of the crime committed. Vale is currently in no position or need for a navy, despite the fact that they control the small island known as "Patch" (actually canon) which is surrounded in blue. Vale possesses a small air fleet.

The pink region (in this story) is the dreaded territory of Forever Fall, from which Grimm are constantly pushing into Western Vale. Defensive measures are taken by Vale's military and mercenary hunting teams along all borders; and Forever Fall sees the most activity.

Green represents the territory controlled by Vacuo. The kingdom of Western Vytal does not control the desert region; although many in Vacuo do risk living as nomadic groups scavenging for valuable resources with little threat of Grimm attacks. Vacuo's Royal Navy is the primary defense against Grimm, as they attack from Dragonia. A vast number of naval and air ships make up Vacuo's Royal Navy. Land forces consist of small numbers of militia forces and mercenary hunting teams to protect the South. Vacuo currently holds the economic advantage over Vale, as the western kingdom's agricultural zones are free to work without constant pressure from Grimm. Vacuo's royal family, led by King Valentinian, is currently in no need of a standing army like Vale, as many graduating teams in Eastern Vytal find stable work in Vacuo.

The big, green dot represents Vacuo's capital, the befittingly named city "Vacuo". No one said that the two kingdoms were creative in naming capital cities.

This map is not canon. One will find that the canon kingdom of Vale is a small sliver of land on the coast, right next to the island Patch. This will not do for my story, so all of this information, while non-canon, will be the geographical foundation for Team WRBY to make their name known to the world.

Hmmm. If a settlement was made at the northern peninsula of Vytal to try and stop most Grimm who crosses the water, perhaps they could have more success since Atlas easily repels theirs over water (although it's hard to say if Atlas have any advantages over Vytal). By blocking the Grimm source at the "funnel point", the forces holding on at Vale along with parts of the settlement could possibly regain the northern part of Vytal more effectively.

Since very little is said about the south, I wonder if an attack from the back is to be feared. In the event that the Grimm possess any martial knowledge, which seems unlikely, perhaps the risk of a migration from Dragonia to these mountainous lands and forests should have Atlas and Vytal monitor their respective territorial waters.

My thoughts on the situation.

Your thoughts are interesting and provoking, friend.

But I have done this primarily for a personal endeavor. This is a peek at what is to come, at what is to happen for the future of Pollination.

I scoured the internet and called upon every corner to formulate this map. I do not work for Rooster Teeth, and I will most likely never work for such a renowned company.

This is for what is to come from me, though. For what is to come AFTER Pollination. Two more installments, and all will be enlightened.

Is this true?

It is a basic foundation for what is to come from me personally, but it has all been done so with genuine diligence. I have studied the available maps scoured the wiki and subreddits for additional information. Thus, according to what I have gathered, and finding the natural borders of would-be kingdoms such as mountains, likes, rivers, and forests, I have deduced as much as you see on the map.

There is a massive mountain range that practically separates the two kingdoms of Vytal  via land, and we know that there is a massive infrastructure in transportation via sea and air.

Again, I turned to natural barriers for kingdoms to expand. Vale is one of four kingdoms, and we know for certain that the city itself is where you see on the map above. Water brings life, and since we know that the Grimm are heavily planted on the borders of at least Forever Fall, I have deduced that, even if they do not control the entire Northeast portion of Vytal, they do at least deny access to the lands for humans and faunus alike. And since there is no kingdom in Dragonia, and given evidence of a satellite version of the map, I have deduced that it is a home for Grimm and other creatures, not human or Faunus.

But this map will serve a prime purpose for my own endeavors, not predict the future of Monty's vision, even though it is drawn with all available information and theories. I have taken the liberty of naming the landmass of Dragonia... Dragonia for obvious reasons. And the minor details given to Atlas were made for what is to come.

I have discovered your distaste for other people's literary works, so I doubt that this future project will hold your interest, but I still extend towards you an invitation to wait and see of what is to come.

What a peculiar response for a question of three words.

The wait and see approach is exactly what I intend to do.

I am impressed by your efforts, but are you going to modify your work once canon info is revealed?

My "distaste" for the fanfics of others mostly stems from my need for things to be "the right way". It's just part of who I am.

The closest to canon, the better.

The more out of character and inconsistent a story gets, the more frustrating it is for me.

You put a lot of effort into this and I admire that.

I have 4.5 months before RTX. I will spend the end of February wrapping up Pollination, and then the story pertaining to this map will take effect. I estimate roughly 4 months to be the total amount of time that I will have to work on what is to come, and I intend to strike while the iron is hot. My core ideas (Kingdom locations, boundaries, etc) shall remain unchanged, and I will be sure to make quite clear that the entirety of the work in question was written before Series Two made its debut.

But, I do hope that Monty will provide more geographical and dust information. If he would just give us a name for the landmass that I have dubbed Dragonia, I would gladly change that, if nothing else to simply make matters easier for the reader who would surely scratch their head at a name that rang hollow to them.

I appreciate your kind words, and I am glad that several days worth of research, staring at maps, and rereading every single line of wiki information have payed off with relatively successful results.

Here's to the future!

Research is fun.

I too hope that we'll get more detail about the world of Remnant. Of course, that's what Beacon is for. It's a school.

This, good readers, is a hint of what is to come. Yes, it's Microsoft Paint. No, I don't have any better programs for drawing. NO, I will NOT spoil the impending surprise! You're going to have to wait until after part forty-seven of Pollination.
