Happy 2019!!
This is a test commission I did for my best friend kryptidnite ! An animation featuring Spyro and Gavin, the redesigned barista dragon from Reignited. She came up with the idea that Gavin likes doing latte art as one of his Artisan skills. So here is my attempt, it's probably the most legit animation i’ve ever made (and probably the coolest too lol)
Here’s the black and white WIP too just for fun, as well as the backgrounds I painted for it.

This is great, I love it. Spyro is appropriately cute in his design and movements. Him spinning in the chair, then excitedly watching Gavin make the drink, it's all great!

Surely you can! you should give it a try, maybe you'll like it a lot.
if you want to get started, you should download pencil2d (it's free) and make some random animations, looking up tutorials and so on whenever you have any trouble.

Ok, ok, first off, Spyro is mega cute in your style as usual, and Gavin looks perfect!! (still best Elder <3, but anyway) Spyro jumping into the seat and spinning came out wonderfully. So fun and adorable!! And Gavin casually tossing the cloth behind him baha. I LOVE how he clearly was expecting Spyro to show up – he was cleaning that particular mug (with a PURPLE cloth, no less) just to prepare Spyro’s usual order, awwwww!!!!!!! ;;;W;;; I can’t get over Spyro trying his hardest to see around Gavin because he wants to watch the cool way his drink is made. His movements are so charming – he just wants to seeeeee! And then his happy face when it’s done asdfghjklasdfghjkl The movements on Gavin are so good too. THAT FLAME *_____* I love the brief frame where his tongue sticks out in concentration as he’s pouring the microfoam, hehe. And then Gavin’s look of PURE PROUD TRIUMPH at the end complete with SPARKLES aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. He SHOULD be proud!!! I also REALLY like how his wings spread out at the end. That’s something that I always think is so friggin’ cool lol. But what’s extra cool is that Spyro gets latte art of his own head!!!!
I can’t believe you put so much lovely detail in the backgrounds too, even the ones that only appear for a second or two! ;; They’re absolutely gorgeous and have such a “warm, homely, welcoming” feeling to them. Wish I had a cafe run by Gavin near me lol. I love things like the tip jar, the texture on the sink with its hot and cold symbols, my favorite types of drink “Etc” and “Label”, and I’m so glad you liked the menu board ideas!! Also, THAT CHALK SPYRO DRAWING IS THE BEST. Btw, I’m still really impressed that you did the lip-syncing just by referencing yourself saying the lines in the mirror @____@
I still can’t get over this. It really looks like it’s from a Spyro short or cartoon or something, I keep watching it over and over without being able to stop. When you showed me your very first WIP of it, I was beaming for DAYS. Seeing the whole thing progress over time had me smiling, and even more with the final product!! I shall repeat ‘cause it’s always true, you seriously have always gone out of your way to cheer me up and bring me happiness in any way you possibly can and are always willing to sit and listen to my perpetually grumpy ass complain to try to help me with my problems no matter what. You have the patience of a saint - better than any saint actually - are sweeter than 50 boxes of strawberry donuts from Dunkin's (that’s what you are, Billy, a sweet, pink donut from Dunkin’s right down town!!!!), and are just far and beyond more generous than anyone I’ve ever seen. You’re the biggest and best dweeb ever and I’m so glad to have known you for the past four years and counting. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;A;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
