Haha, this took me forever
But here it is! My application for , featuring Katsudai!

History:
Katsudai spent most of their life in Japan, where they were raised by a single mom. Stressed and overworked, their mom had a tendency to explode in anger, then sweetly make it up to them, only to turn around and get angry again. This was very stressful on Katsudai, and left them with a deep-seated fear of close relationships and expressing emotions became impossible. Instead, they turned to arts and crafts.

Coming out of high school, Kat received an art scholarship to study in America. Just when they thought they were free and could work on their self esteem, the stress of culture shock as well as language barriers shook them down. To cover up the instability, they took to wearing a mask along with their white goth ensemble, and this became a sort of comfort item that helped them cope with their anxiety.

They make money online (no dress code!) where they sell clothes, accessories, art, and finery. They don't currently have any friends (spending all day sewing and painting in his dorm or in class), which is why they accepted the suspicious invitation to an abandoned hotel. Worst case scenario, they get murdered. Best case scenario, they make connections and maybe have some fun too.

They were getting stir crazy anyway.

They usually resort to snark or jokes, especially in self-defense.
They like English a whole hell of a lot and speak it fluently, but sometimes they forget words and says stupid stuff like "the fingernails on her head" (meaning hair).
They are really easily startled/scared.
They accept just about any pronouns depending on the day (usually you can tell by whether they dress masculine or feminine), but they is always a safe bet.
There is literally nothing funnier than wordplay.
They communicate in pop culture references.
They are REALLY absent-minded, so snark usually comes before any legitimate response to what somebody is saying, because they weren't listening.
