honestly scourge is the edgiest cat in the whole series. dude held a grudge against some asshole kid for years and decided to secretly plot against him. like. scourge's emo feelings were probably so hurt when he found out that tigerstar didn't remember who he was. that was scourge's breaking point

yeah i agree that would've been pretty nice! at least we got longtail and jayfeather's blindess as reputation (even though jayfeather can see just fine in his dreams......)
however i think the lack of surviving deaf cats is all due to the realistic factor that cats rely on their sense of hearing and smell way more than they do their sight.
